What is the opportunity?

As a Business Operations Specialist with RBC Global Asset Management, you will partner with US based managers and the Enterprise Human Resources team in support of the delivery of day-to-day HR solutions that enable business growth.

What will you do?

  • Act as day-to-day contact for the business regarding existing compensation programs and provide guidance, direction, coordination & oversight of seasonal compensation initiatives (LTI, STI, Base Salary) and requests.
  • Manage all FTE data and forms and serve as primary contact between compensation COE and business, job categorization for analysis & may flag items for further review. 
  • Act as conduit between the business and COE for recruitment, hiring and onboarding needs and provide support on learning and organization development. 
  • Liaise with the business to identify and support key subject matter expert talent, high potential and early promise talent.
  • Be first point of contact to People Managers in the escalation of HR issues.
  • Participate/lead initiatives, sit on D&I committee, identify & coordinate training and communications.
  • Develop effective and collaborative working relationships with HRBP’s, ASG, COEs to leverage common knowledge, skills, and learning; and advise on regulatory, legal, compliance & labor relations legislation.
  • Assist in analyzing Employee Opinion Survey (EOS) results, and help develop & implement action items.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • Relationship builder with client service orientation
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality with excellent attention to detail
  • Creative problem solver and someone who is a change leader 

Nice-to-have

  • 5+ years’ experience in Human Resources
  • Post secondary education, supplemented with professional HR training
  • Financial services background
