The primary responsibility of the Director – Compensation is to manage and lead the compensation programs and design frameworks that are in line with corporate strategy, vision, mission, and values. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and Las Vegas Sands Corp.’s policies, practices, and procedures.  

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

 

  • Execute and oversee compensation plan governance and compliance
  • Keep current on existing, future and potential statutory requirements
  • Manage and instruct coordination of HR compensation transactions
  • Lead the compensation survey participation initiative on an annual basis
  • Deliver data as needed to the business to ensure compensation programs remain competitive to attract, retain and motivate team members
  • Provide expert insight and guidance on appropriate salary ranges for new or revised open jobs
  • Work with the HR functional areas to identify, to prioritize and then project manage activities to achieve efficiencies utilizing HR Best Practices.
  • Responsible for the maintenance of HR department records, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality and regulatory compliance.
  • Manage staff and organize department functions in accordance with company guidelines.
  • Delegate tasks and department assignments or projects, meeting deadlines related to those assignments.
  • Focus on achieving the goals or objectives of the department using available resources (staff and budgetary).
  • Evaluate the schedule or timelines related to the completion of assignments, while maintaining service and/or product quality.
  • Consistent and regular attendance is an essential function of this job.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

 

Requirements

  • 21 years of age.

  • Possess integrity and honesty with the ability to manage the highest levels of confidentiality across highly sensitive data
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English, both in spoken and written form.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and other Team Members of different backgrounds and levels of experience.
  • Must be able to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, human resources or a related field or equivalent experience.
  • 7-10 years of US domestic and international compensation in order to manage the design, development and implementation of international compensation programs.
  • Excellent analytical, leadership and interpersonal skills to prepare various analyses and to communicate effectively to interface with local and corporate management to present recommendations and to develop effective compensation communication materials.
  • Flexible and adaptable in dealing with numerous diverse cultures and environments with a premium in working with Asian based business groups.
  • Extensive HRIS experience required.
  • Must have a track record of operational efficiencies and demonstrated experience managing complex projects to automate paper processes.
  • Strong work ethic with a sense of urgency to proactively identify and resolve issues promptly.
  • Ability to collaborate with others and accept accountability, especially work effectively with Finance, Legal, other HR function groups
