Director of Human Resources Sargenti Architects/RSM — Paramus, NJ Classification: Exempt Salaried, Full Time Position

JOB DESCRIPTION :Summary/Objective Lead, Drive and Manage all Human Resources functions for national organization of over 250 employees – headquartered in Paramus, NJ.

  • Directly manages employee relations, HR administration, inquiries and other day to day concerns of approximately 250 employees in six US office locations. Approximately 200 employees are located in Paramus, NJ.
  • Provide an open and supportive environment that supports core business HR needs.
  • Drive effective change of HR programs and practices to support business strategies.
  • Establishes and maintain all employee records to assure accuracy, integrity and security of the data.
  • Perform benefits administration tasks to include enrollments, claims resolution, change reporting, approving and reconciling provider invoices for payment, and annual re-evaluation of policies for cost-effectiveness.
  • Take ownership of all HR matters that relate to federal, state and local agencies.
  • Oversee and back-up for payroll processing. (PayCom and ADP WorkforceNow)
  • Manage all matters related to HR compliance and audits.
  • Develops and administer human resources department plans and procedures to ensure compliance, efficiency, and support of business.
  • Provide job descriptions as necessary; analyze compensation; monitor and update performance evaluation program.
  • Continue system implementation process of ADP & PayCom HRIS with goal of automating benefits, Ee onboarding, paperless HR office, Ee self-service functions and additional process efficiencies.
  • Prepare and maintain handbook on policies and procedures
  • Supervise recruitment effort and new employee orientation procedures.
  • Manage HR staff of 3-4 employees
  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned

 

Requirements

Required Background and Skills

  • A bachelor’s degree or above in HR or related field
  • Five years human resource management experience in mid-size company of 100-500 employees
  • Confident, articulate and empathetic verbal and written communicator
  • Knowledge and experience of HR requirements and compliance in multiple states required (specifically NJ, NY, PA, TX and CA)
  • Intermediate skills in Excel, Outlook and Word
  • Ability to effectively manage and evaluate financial data as it relates to HR functions
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • High level of integrity, honesty and strong work ethic.
  • Knowledge of Paycom and ADP Work Force Now preferred
  • SHRM (Society for Human Resources Management) Certification
