As an individual contributor and a Program Manager, you will be handling daily operations in these areas, as well as collaborating strategically with the Director and other leaders.

What you will do:

  • Serve as the primary administrator of the annual benefits programs, renewals, and open enrollment and system applications. In collaboration with the Director, plan and design future initiatives for health, welfare, retirement and compensation programs.
  • Work closely with brokers, providers, insurers, faculty and staff in the day-to-day administration, communication and problem solving of programs.
  • Manage employee leaves including workers comp, short term disability, ADA requests, sick and vacation leave.
  • Work with the Director and department managers to create and maintain a compensation structure that meets University's changing needs. 
  • Analyze compensation data, update and maintain job descriptions and assist in development of compensation budgets and pay recommendations.
  • Reconcile benefits monthly, prepare bi-weekly, monthly or quarterly reports and contributions
  • Expertly manage the balancing act of multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Utilize excellent analytical and communication skills to navigate employee enrollments with our various partnered vendors.

What qualifications you have:

  • Three to four years of progressive experience in benefit administration and two years in compensation,
  • Ability to create and maintain relationships of trust with peers, staff and faculty,
  • Strong analytical skills,
  • Collaborative skills with independent thinking,
  • a Bachelor's degree in HR Management, Business or a related field,
  • Web-tech savvy and proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, and preferably with experience with payroll systems.
