The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for the day to day administration of benefits, compensation, HRIS and serves as the Facility Security Officer (FSO). The HR Generalist supports Human Resources in the areas of employee relations, onboarding and recruitment.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Provides day to day benefits administration, develops benefits & wellness awareness, provides employees with claims resolution assistance, and assist the director with researching changes in benefits for new plan year.
  • Administers requests for short/long-term disability, and workers comp, and OHSA reporting.
  • Assist with monitoring compensation structure, provides competitive market research and partners with payroll to ensure accuracy of payroll and HRIS.
  • Coordinates the onboarding process for new employees, with the benefits portion of the process.
  • Serves as the Facility Security Officer (FSO). Manages the facility security clearance and individual security clearances.       Responds to questions and researches information regarding clearances, provides annual trainings, and maintains security files and data. Responds to and participates in bi-annual security inspections. Maintains electronic fingerprinting, DISS, SWFT, and JPAS accounts.
  • Responds to inquiries regarding CRDF Global policies and procedures; maintains the office manual.
  • Manages HRIS ensuring accurate data, utilizes the full capability of system and makes sure personnel files are accurate and current.
  • Ensures all compliance requirements are met for 403 B, Employee Welfare and AA plan EEOC, Vets, and OSHA. Keeps current on any compliance changes to regulations or rules.

Requirements

  • 3 years’ experience in benefits administration, compensation and other HR programs
  • BA/BS degree, PHR or SHRM-CP certification is a plus.
  • Thorough knowledge of HR practices and applicable laws.
  • Experience in HRIS including online enrollment, employee databases, and prepares and analyzes reports for management.
  • Excellent problem solving, written and oral communication skills and the ability to interact comfortably on the phone and in person with individuals at all levels within and outside of CRDF.
  • Display of professional appearance and work behavior.
  • Ability to work well in a dynamic busy environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; advanced Excel skills.
  • U.S. citizenship and security clearance at the Secret Level or the ability to obtain clearance
