We are seeking a HR Generalist to join our team.  This position is responsible for strategic planning, talent management, employee relations, training and employee development, compensation, performance management, benefits and compliance with applicable employment laws.

 

Major Responsibilities and Key Tasks

Conducts recruitment effort for all exempt and nonexempt employees. Conducts new-employee orientation. 

Counsels, and trains managers and supervisors on the interpretation and administration of Human Resources policies and procedures.

Oversees, handles, and manages employee relations issues. Assists with employee counseling, discipline, and grievance handling.
 Develops and manages automated human resource information system.   (PAYCOM)

Ensures compliance with state, local, and federal guidelines
Administers compensation programs and assists in job analysis, job evaluation, and performance management.
 Prepares and maintains the employee handbook and the policies and procedures manual.
Files EEO-1 report annually; and maintains other records, reports and logs to conform to EEO regulations.
Recommends new approaches, policies and procedures to continually improve efficiency of
the department and services performed.
Interpret benefit and retirement plans and policies in order to facilitate administration, respond to questions, and interface with vendors independently to solve complex problems.
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

 

 

 

Requirements

Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in HR or related field 
Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive Human Resources experience required, preferably in the nonprofit sector.

Must have in-depth knowledge of Human Resources core competencies, including   recruitment and employment, benefits administration, training and employee development, employee relations and legal compliance.
PHR or SHRM-CP certification desirable
Proficiency with MS Office
Strong organizational, problem-solving and analytical skills. Ability to manage priorities and workflow.
