Eastern Controls Inc., seeks a Human Resources Manager to join the team. Reporting to the Vice President of Finance & Operations, the Manager will oversee the Human Resources department and manage the HR Analyst.

This position is responsible for managing the entire HR function for the company. Manage the development and implementation of human resource policies, programs and services, including talent acquisition, retention, legal compliance, employee relations, employee training & professional development, employment practices and procedures, safety, compensation, payroll and benefits.

  • Manage the retention and employee development systems. Work with managers to ensure successful implementation of training programs, performance management systems and leadership development programs.

  • Develop and maintain and enforce corporate HR policies and procedures for ECI.

  • Create and manage job descriptions.

  • Market and manage the employee benefits program for maximum benefit to the employees and maximum cost savings to the company.

  • Maintain the wage/salary scale-formal compensation program.

  • Manage the payroll process and provides back-up payroll processing to HR Analyst.

  • Ensure compliance with Federal and State regulations pertaining to all personnel matters. Remain knowledgeable on recent federal, state and case law changes and monitor labor law updates and newsletters for changes that affect HR.

  • Answer any questions and/or requests by governmental agencies, including employee complaints. Represent the company at any hearings.

  • Preparing on-boarding and off-boarding, e.g. paperwork, letters of offer, transfer, promotion, termination.

  • Manage employee on-boarding program that will include recruitment (working with outside recruiters/vendors/agencies), staffing & selection, orientation, mentor programs and evaluation periods.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration or related field required; Master’s preferred. PHR/SPHR required. SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP highly desirable. Seven to ten years of progressively responsible generalist experience. Three to five years’ experience supervising one to two human resources professionals.  Experience in manufacturing, Distribution or related industry a real plus!
