Responsibilities:
Performant has a great opportunity for a multi-faceted and highly analytical Compensation and HR professional looking for an opportunity to make an impact in a diverse, fast-paced business environment. Reporting to the Sr. Director of Human Resources, you will conduct research, analysis, planning, and implementation to provide help drive the development of compensation and benefits programs, policies and procedures, as well as play a key role in projects such as Mergers and Acquisitions due diligence and integration, developing the HR intranet communications, and HRIS planning and implementation. 

What you will do: 
•Write and/or review job profiles for new or changing positions to ensure appropriate classification. Based on position-specific information, determines if an existing description can be used for classification. As necessary, modifies and creates new descriptions which accurately reflect current roles, responsibilities and requirements. Conduct appropriate analysis using internal and external market data and information to ensure appropriate classifications (such as EEO-1/FLSA/Job Group) and compensation range assignment and other reward program designation. 
•Uses published or conducts ad hoc surveys to obtain and analyze market pay rates. Makes recommendations on appropriate pay grade level. Contribute to the development of infrastructure for base salary structures and other reward programs.
•Conducts classification review and makes classification/pay level determinations. (EEO-1/FLSA) This includes reviewing job questionnaires, conferring with managers and employees, evaluating jobs and preparing written reports on findings. Communicates with stakeholders regarding the result of compensation work
•Review jobs for reorganizations, contractual reviews and projects, including both job audit and evaluation. Documents job-specific findings and recommendations to contribute to a comprehensive project report
•Support analysis, development and administration of variable compensation and other rewards programs, policies and guidelines
•Develop guidelines for compensation actions and contribute to development of training materials regarding compensation 
•May review/approve actions in Workday related to compensation and rewards
•Collaborate with applicable HR team members to contribute to buildout and enhancement of Workday functionality and configuration (and other HR systems and tools) to support HR programs, policies and procedures. 
•Conduct analysis for due diligence and support integration planning for M&A activity 
•Contribute to cross-discipline HR initiatives-Collaborate effectively within the HR team as well as with management and key stakeholders across the company 
•Align with and demonstrate company core values (People, Innovation and Excellence) -Effectively deliver results aligned with HR and business objectives
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned to meet business needs.

 
Required Skills and Knowledge:

Knowledge you have:
•Human Resources principles and best practices in compensation 
•Applicable Federal, State, and local rules, regulations and/or statutes 
•Research methods and data analysis techniques Excel for analysis of data
•HR Systems and database principles and practices
•Employee relations principles and practices; Customer service principles
Skills you have: 
•Demonstrated depth of applied expertise in Compensation and applicable employment laws and regulations; knowledge and experience with Service Contract Act a plus
•Strong analytic and process mind-set with insatiable curiosity 
•Technical skills and competency working with multiple HRIS platforms 
•Intermediate to advanced Excel skills and strong competency in other MS Office applications (Access, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)  
•Ability to lead projects and analyze/resolve complex issues involving diverse data sets, systems, laws or other factors
•Previous M&A due diligence or integration experience desired 
•Polished and professional communication skills 
•Customer service attitude and mentality -Strong knowledge of applicable labor laws 
•Solid project management and program development capabilities 
•Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment 
•Adapts quickly and effectively to changing business needs
 


Physical Requirements: 
Job is in a busy standard office environment, sits at a desk and participates in meetings, uses office phone system; views a computer monitor, types on a keyboard and uses a mouse. Reads and comprehends information in electronic (computer) or paper form (written/printed). 
- Sit/stand 8 or more hours per day; reach as needed to use office equipment. 
- Consistently viewing a computer screen, typing, using a keyboard and mouse. 
- Uses phone; head-set can be provided. 
- Occasionally lift/carry/push/pull up to 10lbs. 
- Able to sit at desk, working on computer and phones for a full work day.
- Able to work full time in assigned office, including extended hours during critical project phases.

Education and Experience:
•BA/BS in Business, Management, Finance, Human Resources (or related field) or equivalent combination of education and experience
•World at Work CCP preferred, but not required
•5+ years experience in HR with analyst and project-based responsibilities 
•3+ years professional level compensation program analysis and development 
•Experience with other employee benefits and rewards programs a plus
•Experience in Government contracting environment and experience with Service Contract Act a plus


Other Requirements:
- Must submit to and pass background check.
- Must not have any Federal or State liens resulting from County, State or Federal tax issues.
- Must not have any current defaulted student loans.
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check; must not have any felony convictions or specific misdemeanors.
- Must submit to and pass drug screen.

Performant is a government contractor. Certain client assignments for this position may require submission to and successful outcome of additional background and/or clearances throughout employment with the Company.
