We’re changing the way payers (private and public) process healthcare claims by ensuring they are high quality and complete in order to reduce the estimated $750 billion in waste and fraud within the healthcare system. To help with this, we are looking for an experienced Application Product Manager with strong contemporary technology savvy, familiarity with Agile methodologies, business acumen, and commitment to building software solutions that enable business workflow excellence, to create a vision and roadmap for Performant’s internal business applications.

What you'll do as Product Manager working in our San Francisco, CA office: 

You will oversee the non-technical aspects of enhancing our existing products and taking them to a new level while monitoring the development of our new platforms from the ground up. 
You will develop and maintain the product vision and roadmap planning. 
You will develop and maintain trust and credibility, and partnering effectively with all areas of the company. 
You will have responsibility for synthesizing information from several different internal sources to managing requirements from all stakeholders, and inject that feedback into the design cycle. 
You will confirm business requirements with internal teams for consistency between the product roadmaps and ensure high usability products with visually appealing graphic design as result. 
You will specify requirements for current and future products by conducting research supported by on-going partnership with the applicable business groups to understand business objectives. 
You will create concept documents, detailed functional specification and technical requirements, business and use cases for new features and functionality (this occurs through the creation of user stories following an Agile Software development approach).
You oversee the product development life cycle, and analyze to ensure that performance requirements are met.
Generate design documentation and prototypes to be validated by end users, including but not limited to workflow diagrams, flowcharts, storyboards, etc.
Work closely with product end users to understand their needs and conduct necessary research required for conceptualizing design options.
Study, understand, and identify issues for end user needs and confirm the prototypes met their needs. 
You will track and assist execution of product roadmaps, development schedules and product/component designs.
You will track design, workflow, and prototype documentation. 
You will train others on functional area related topics.  
You willingly take on what’s needed to help the team and the company meet objectives.
Perform testing to validate new functions/features are working as designed/intended.
Develop training materials on new functions/features.
Train end-users on system capabilities and new functions/features.

What You Will Have

You have performed UX for new products in an environment leveraging Agile methodologies.
You stay current with marketplace trends and competitor practices.
You have a passion for staying current on and leveraging contemporary technologies. 
You have software design experience in complex, multi-tasking, real-time, highly availability systems You are experienced with Agile methodologies.
You have a strong understanding of fundamental visual design disciplines (iconography, typography, color schemes, composition, layout, etc.). 
You can define and manage complex process and/or product issues of a broad scope using independent judgment. 
You can use your strong information design and workflow skills and can create documentation that clearly articulates the design and usability. 
You easily communicate complex technical information to non-technical business users. 
You are an analytic and a critical thinker that thrives on solving complex problems. 
You have (and use) excellent judgment and a keen attention to detail. 
Education and Experience:

 You have a BA/BS in Engineering, Computer Science, Business Management, or related.
• You have the relevant skills and 5 years experience to be successful in the role.
You have familiarity with technologies such as CSS, Javascript, Interface design tools, and HTML5 and how they are used. 
• You have familiarity with Graphic Design tools and website wireframes.

Other Requirements

- Must submit to and pass background check.
- Must not have any Federal or State liens resulting from County, State or Federal tax issues. 
- Must not have any current defaulted student loans.
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check; must not have any felony convictions or specific misdemeanors.
- Must submit to and pass drug screen.
