Then this career opportunity at our laboratory operations in Tucson and Southern Arizona is for you! This position will be the single Human Resources contact in Tucson reporting to the Human Resources team in Tempe, AZ.

The Regional Human Resources Business Partner is the voice of HR to the business and the voice of the business to HR by being knowledgeable of the vairous HR disciplines as well as understanding the experiences, expectations and needs of the buisiness groups that they support.

The core purpose of this position includes:

Business Partnering & Strategy.  Build client partnerships and develop a deep knowledge of their business requirements and challenges. Conduct needs analysis, conduct gap analysis, and identify appropriate actions.  Translate business needs into performance requirements and employee initiatives.  Trusted and credible partner who anticipates needs and proactively recommends solutions.  Optimizes transformational change efforts by providing HR partnership support for leading and managing change.
Performance Management. Drives for high performance work environment that makes the organization a great place to work and deliver results.  Provide day to day performance management guidance to leaders (coaching, counseling, career development and corrective action).   Work closely with leaders and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, increase productivity and retention.

Talent Acquistion.  Partners with local business leaders to source, screen and selected talent to best meet the needs of the business.
Talent Management.  Partner with Leadership Development and leadership to ensure that the organization has the right people in the right place at the right time doing the right thing. Participates in Succession Planning.
Employee Relations.  Manage and resolve employee relations issues, terminations, harassment allegations, and civil rights complaints. Conduct effective, thorough and objective investigations.   Create and maintain associated documentation.  Collaborate with HR Advisory, Legal and Risk as needed.
HR Policies & Procedures.  Assist in development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.  Partner with leadership to communicate/interpret/implement policies, procedures, laws, standards and government regulations

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Management, Business or equivalent experience required.   Must have a minimum of 5 years of Human Resources experience.  Experience in strategic business partnering, performance management (including progressive discipline), employee relations (including investigations), recruiting and employee development.  Experience working with a diverse staff of exempt and non-exempt employees.  Experience working with local and remote employees.   Ability to operate in a highly dynamic environment and handle multiple priorities.  Proven analytical, technical and project management skills.  Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.  Strong ability to coach and/or counsel others.  Strong conflict management, problem solving, and interpersonal skills.  Proficient using Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. Requires effective presentation and verbal and written communication skills. Requires valid Arizona driver’s license.

Preferred Qualifications

Professional in Human Resources or Senior Professional in Human Resources (PHR or SPHR) designation.  Masters degree in Human Resources, Management or Business. Coaching certification.
