SVP of Human Resources - Rexford Industrial Realty

 

Rexford Industrial Realty, Inc. (NYSE: REXR) is a leading, publicly-traded industrial real estate investment and management company operating over 18 million square feet of industrial properties throughout Southern California.

 

We seek a dynamic Senior Vice President of Human Resources to join our leadership team and rapidly growing company. This position reports to the co-CEOs of the company and will be responsible for instituting and ensuring the full range of best-in-class HR functions including: Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, Leadership Development and Training, Compensation and Health Benefits, Total Rewards, Employee Experience and Culture, as well as assistance with public company or Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) HR compliance or reporting. This leader will develop and safeguard the mutual trust between team members and the HR department that forms the basis from which our corporate culture may thrive and from which leading-edge HR programs may be implemented and. The SVP Human Resources shall implement and align HR programs with business objectives, serving as a strategic partner of the leadership team while supporting employees in their day-to-day HR needs.  

 

Leadership:

  • Provide a vision and strategy to the Executive team, acting as a “thought leader” in all things People and Talent. Influence at all levels of the organization to drive HR and Operations initiatives and best practices.

 

Employment Brand and Hiring Practices:

  • Lead culture around recruitment within the Talent organization and across every staff level to support and reinforce the company’s core values and rapid growth.

     

 

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 10 to 15 years in HR leadership roles at companies with outstanding HR practices and employee experience

  • Exceptional judgement, sense of discretion, oral and written communication skills

  • Experience building HR and Talent practices for a public company or similar organization experiencing substantial growth

  • A track record of management and developing key leaders

  • Superior skills navigating and nourishing relationships with managers and staff at all levels

  • Strong working knowledge of state/federal employment laws and SEC HR-related regulations covering publicly-traded companies

  • Total enterprise/cross-functional perspective as it relates to problem solving, strategic thinking and best practice implementation

  • Expertise in employee relations, performance management, behavioral based hiring practices and change management

  • Deep experience across all core HR functions including Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, Leadership &Organizational Design, Compensation, Benefits & Total Rewards, Employee Experience and Talent Branding

  • Experience in selecting, implementing, using and optimizing HR systems 

 SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP Preferred
