We have an exciting opportunity for a Talent Acquisition Coordinator in the Human Resources department at Eversheds Sutherland (US) LLP. We are searching for someone who wants to be a valued contributor and member of a talented and dynamic team of lawyers, paralegals and staff.

The Human Resources Talent Acquisition Coordinator is responsible for full-cycle recruiting and onboarding, as well as supporting the goals and activities for recruiting diverse talent for all non-legal positions in the Firm. General responsibilities include Firm-wide non-legal recruiting, managing onboarding and off-boarding, provide reporting on turnover and retention; managing salary or other employment surveys for all non-legal and other human resources activities.



Responsibilities and Duties

  • Coordinating with Human Resources Managers on firm wide recruitment for non-legal staff, which encompasses sourcing, screening, interviewing, administering assessments and referring applicants for all positions throughout the Firm

  • Building applicant sources by researching and contacting community services, local employment agencies, advertising agencies, college boards, media and internet sites

  • Partnering with management to assess and determine staffing needs

  • Assisting HR Operations Manager with job description updates by reviewing position duties with department hiring managers and reporting changes

  • Serving as an expert in the firm’s selection processes to ensure diversity and inclusion

  • Assisting in the on-boarding/orientation and off-boarding/exit processes

  • Processing and checking agency billings, employment verifications and employee referral program/spreadsheet

  • Determining applicant qualifications by screening resumes, interviewing candidates, comparing job description and job qualifications, analyzing responses, verifying references, conducting background checks and making recommendations to hiring managers

  • Determining feasibility of using various applicant sources and negotiates commission rate with agencies (as needed). Maintains hard copy of agency agreements after HR Director’s approval

  • Utilizing various job boards, LinkedIn, campus recruiting and other potential candidate sources

  • Working with HR Assistants to ensure candidates receive timely follow-up for interviews, scheduling, non-selection communication and new hire orientation

  • Acting as point of contact for new candidates for pre-hire questions and maintains contact prior to joining

  • Following up with candidates and hiring managers to ensure status is communicated throughout the process

  • Developing and maintaining a highly productive relationship with internal and external sources to ensure achievement of staffing goals

  • Maintaining HRIS records and compiles reports from the recruiting database

  • Assisting with recommendations on training and development for new hires after onboarding process to enable employees’ success

  • Participating in creating departmental communications

  • Processing referrals and maintaining referral spreadsheet to make sure agency fees are generated promptly

  • Maintaining records of unemployment claims and completes surveys and reports on employment activity in the industry

  • Working closely with the HR Director and performs additional HR related duties, as assigned


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • A Bachelor’s degree is required in Human Resources, Business Administration, Communications or related field from an accredited college or university.

  • Five to seven years of experience working in a Human Resources Department within a similarly sized, multi-office legal or professional services organization is required.

  • At least three years of experience in sourcing resumes from a variety of sources including agencies/search firms, and employment websites is required.

  • Experience with Boolean searches and resume mining is required.

  • HRIS experience preferred; ATS experience required--ADP preferred.

  • Must be comfortable working with senior leaders.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
