Are you a dedicated and innovative learning professional with a work ethic second to none?

If so, we are looking for an Operations Training Manager to drive our operations and safety training for frontline and management level employees. You’ll be part of our HR team, reporting to the Director of Talent Development, with strong ties to the Operations Team and our Senior Director of Safety and Operations.

 

How Will You Contribute?

Responsibilities include:

  • Recommending the right training approach to fit with business needs (classroom, virtual, on-the-job etc.).
  • Designing learning curriculum as needed and building out existing learning resources.
  • Conducting safety, operations and equipment training at our five locations.
  • Assist in implementation and training efforts for technology solutions.
  • Partnering with individuals in the organization to clearly understand changes to policies, standards and procedures and ensure training is aligned.
  • Tracking ROI on training programs and initiatives to align with key business metrics.
  • Engaging learners at all levels to impact job retention and performance.
  • Assist in driving safety initiatives and programs.
  • Partnering with outside vendors or parties to deliver specialized training as required.
  • Coordinating, communicating and scheduling the learning calendar.
  • Support recruiting, talent development and engagement initiatives as needed.

 

Requirements

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field.

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in instructional design and learning management.

  • Proven facilitation skills.

  • Strong grounding in adult learning theory.

  • Strong time management, project management and organizational skills are a MUST.

  • Knowledge of OSHA and DOT regulations.

  • Experience working with an LMS and comfort level with technology solutions.

  • Experience dealing with a unionized workforce.

  • Ability to relate to frontline, management and director level staff.

  • Strong partnership and relationship management skills.

  • Significant problem solving skills.

 Experience in supply, distribution, logistics and warehouse operations strongly desired. Spanish speaking ability is a considerable plus.
