We are looking for a VP Human Resources responsible for our US operations. This person will be responsible for the overall management, strategic planning, and execution of the HR initiatives to ensure alignment with the business objectives. This person will work with the other Global Heads of HR in the development and implementation of the people strategy for CPA Global. They will manage the translation of the people strategy into global and local long term and short term deliverables for the HR team. They will be the trusted advisor for the leadership and senior management teams to improve their leadership capability, functional effectiveness and business performance. The candidate will lead the HR operations team locally, coaching and developing them to ensure delivery of people management solutions for their customers. The VP Human Resources will manage and direct all activities in relation to the annual Global Performance Management Review (PMR) process and end-of-year salary/bonus process. 



Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Leading the US HR team to design, implement, deliver and evaluate a sustainable people strategy for CPA Global
  • Working as part of the business, improve business performance through challenging current organizational structures and practices and making recommendations to meet and shape the future needs of the business
  • Partner with the business to identify the need for change, then play an active management role in driving business change
  • Influence, motivate and develop the US HR team, ensuring the team is committed to the delivery of the people strategy and they embrace the business partnership and a customer service culture
  • Work with Global Head of Reward to ensure compliance and competitive benefits programs are in place
  • Coach and develop people managers, building their skills and competence to manage and maximize their effectiveness and performance and that of their teams
  • Act as the conduit for “people” issues, ensuring business leaders and managers have an awareness of organizational capability and that people are always on the agenda so that people implications of any business decision are duly considered
  • Provide advice and guidance on complex HR issues in order to maximize commercial opportunities and minimize risk and financial exposure
  • Ensure resolution of complex HR issues that arise within the business, to minimize organizational impact and risk
  • Working with the Indian operation to help leverage and develop the offshore team to achieve cost efficiency goals
  • Provide relevant metrics to the business that provide insight into trends and recommend appropriate actions to benefit the business in the short and long term
  • Work with outside counsel on complex HR legal matters as needed
  • Ensure all policies and processes are kept up to date and the business made aware of any legal changes

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Seasoned HR professional with significant experience of operating in different states in the US, working in a complex matrix organisation
  • Bachelor’s Degree in HR or related field and 15+ years of HR experience required
  • Strategic and operational HR experience
  • Strong employment law and ER knowledge
  • Well versed in leading a diverse team
  • Experienced people manager
  • Proven ability to deliver change
  • Excellent influencing and negotiation skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Numerate, with the ability to display ROI and the overall value of HR deliverables
  • Ability to operate in fast paced and ever changing environment
