We are currently looking for an experienced Benefits Administrator II to join our growing Human Resources team. 

Job Title: Benefits Administrator II

Classification: Non-Exempt

Reports To: Benefits Manager

Summary:
This position is responsible for assisting with the day-to-day operations of group benefits programs (group health, dental, vision, flexible spending plan, 401(k) plan and retirement plan) and workers’ compensation claims for external and internal employees. The Benefits Administrator II also provides excellent customer service and quality benefits knowledge.

Essential Functions:

  • Processes employee benefit applications and responds to inquiries regarding plans available, cost, etc.
  • Maintains benefits enrollment system and ensures benefit changes are entered appropriately in the payroll system for payroll deduction.
  • Assists employees with health, dental, vision and other related benefits claims.
  • Completes benefit terminations.
  • Compiles various reports from Salesforce and Paycom, such as medical deductions, contract changes, 401(k) deductions, Flexible Spending Account (FSA) deductions, etc.
  • Completes deduction revisions due to contract changes.
  • Submits workers’ compensation claims with third-party administrator and follows up on claims. 
  • Assists with the open enrollment process.
  • Processes Unemployment claims and garnishment orders.
  • Reviews and approves enrollment requests within the benefits enrollment system.
  • Audits deductions to ensure accuracy.
  • Coordinates new hire benefits training with the Sales Team.
  • Assists with 401(k) audit reports.
  • Assists in training Benefits Administrators I.
  • Recommends and implements changes to all current processes.
  • Ensures compliance with rules and regulations.

Competency:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field.
  • Two to three years of experience in medical benefits and the benefit administration process.
  • Possess strong written and oral English communication skills.
  • Possess strong organization skills and be very detail oriented.
  • Ability to prioritize competing and inflexible deadlines.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with the Operations, Sales and Recruitment Teams, as well as work independently.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Be, at minimum, proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word and Outlook.
