Job Summary/Purpose:

Entergy is strengthening its sourcing and recruiting relationship with targeted 2 and 4 year schools. This position will lead the execution of this relationship referred to as the Campus Team, serve as the Talent Sourcing school relationship subject matter expert and provide facilitation between key Business Unit Leaders and school representatives.

 

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Execute the Campus Team strategy.
  • Partner with universities and campus recruiting teams to build strategic recruiting plans that enable Entergy to meet its business plans.
  • Act as the company’s lead and point of contact with the school(s).
  • Develop relationships with on-campus career services and graduate placement organizations.
  • Interface with the Human Resources Manager of Talent Management.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on Entergy’s recruiting message, interviewing techniques and OFCCP compliance.
  • Develop key performance indicators and provide data analytics based on the company and school strategy.
  • Assists in developing sourcing strategies with Business Unit leaders for desired degree programs.
  • Provide and coordinate logistical support through the Sourcing Team Event Coordinator.
  • Travel to schools for tactical business needs to establish, promote, and maintain the company and school relationship.
  • Support school events in person to help source for the co-op, internship and professionals openings on an as needed basis.
  • Identify new opportunities to expand presence on campus (panels, events, sponsorships).
  • Maintain an understanding of competitor’s recruitment programs and offer packages.
  • Routinely markets and sells the Entergy brand to prospective candidates.  Annually revise on-campus branding tools to reflect hiring goals and candidate needs. 
  • Maintain industry and professional sourcing acumen by networking with industry colleagues.
  • Represent Sourcing and participate with HR Programs at State Energy Workforce Consortia meetings.
  • Attend Center for Energy Workforce Development (CEWD) task session, conferences and regional meetings.
  • Maintains and up-to-date knowledge of applicable laws and regulations. 
  • Foster relationships with students throughout the year to support hiring initiatives.
  • Must be solution oriented, self-motivated, understand the market in which sourcing is needed, have excellent verbal and written communication skills and great interpersonal skills to assist with relationship building with hiring managers, business leaders and school representatives.

Requirements

Minimum education required of the position:

  • Bachelor’s Degree strongly preferred (Human Resources, Business Administration, Management or related field) or equivalent work experience.
  • MBA or graduate level degree desired.

 

Minimum experience required of the position:

  • Position title: HR Representative, Sr
  • 6+ years of relevant HR experience with a bachelor’s degree; 10+ years of relevant HR experience without a bachelor’s degree

Preferred experience:

  • College Relations or College Graduate Placement Center experience.
  • Sourcing and recruiting from within an industry sector.
  • Sourcing through the use of social media

 

Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required of the position:

  • Travel ~ 50-60% (Frequent travel, with heightened travel requirements during peak recruiting seasons (January-April; August-September)
  • Strong interactive and verbal communication with professional educators and business leaders.
  • Presentation skills.
  • Prioritizes work, effectively handles multiple tasks simultaneously, takes initiative, possesses sound reasoning and problem solving skills, functions as a team member as well as works independently, develops and conducts presentations to management.
  • Ability to confidentially manage sensitive records of the company. Working knowledge of MS Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Ability to work with minimum supervision as well as with a team. Ability to handle multiple and time sensitive projects.
  • Proficient in HRIS applications including reporting and data entry. Applicant Tracking System experience is preferred.  SuccessFactors experience is a plus.
