North Mississippi Health Services (NMHS), a diversified regional health care organization headquartered in Tupelo, Mississippi, has retained Witt/Kieffer to aid in the recruitment of its Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO).

NMHS serves 24 counties in north Mississippi and northwest Alabama from its headquarters in Tupelo, Mississippi, and covers a broad range of acute diagnostic and therapeutic services offered through North Mississippi Medical Center (NMMC) in Tupelo; a community hospital system with locations in Eupora, Iuka, Pontotoc, and West Point, MS and Hamilton, Alabama; North Mississippi Medical Clinics, a regional network of more than 35 primary and specialty clinics; home health and nursing homes. NMHS is one of the largest employers in the state of Mississippi with over 6,900 employees.

Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, the CHRO will be responsible for providing leadership and oversight to all areas of HR including but not limited to HR Business Partnerships, compensation, benefits, talent management, HR technology, organizational development, organizational learning, succession management, employee health and safety and employee relations. The CHRO will be an integral member of the NMHS senior leadership team and will play a key role in supporting the continued development and growth of the health system. To do this, he/she will need to quickly build credibility among staff, embrace the mission and culture of NMHS, and continue to develop a strategic human resources function. Continued service optimization for the system, refinement and alignment of the employee benefits plans, and further enhancement of labor management and talent acquisition (IT systems and structure) are all opportunities for this new leader to quickly have an impact on the organization.

NMHS is seeking candidates with a minimum of a Bachelor's degree and significant experience as a healthcare senior human resource leader in a comparably complex organization. A Masters degree in Human Resource Management or related field is highly desirable. The ideal candidate will have a successful track record of broad based generalist experience with particular expertise in organizational development, leadership development, population health management and employee engagement.

Interested parties should direct all nominations and resumes to the consultants supporting this search, Nelson Mann, John McFarland and Keshia Harris at NMHS-CHRO@wittkieffer.com.
