We are seeking an experienced Corporate Recruiter for a Full-Time opportunity located in Silver Spring, MD. We are looking for a Corporate Recruiter with a background in recruiting for various positions for federal contracts to join our team.

The Corporate Recruiter will be responsible for managing the full life cycle of the recruitment process and will assist with ongoing recruitment activities including identifying and tracking candidates while providing guidance to hiring managers to aid in the selection of the strongest candidate. Negotiate offers and start dates while ensuring a smooth on boarding process for new hires.

Effectively qualify prospective candidates for both existing and opportunistic positions while simultaneously educating PMs regarding market conditions and trends. The incumbent is the liaison between candidates, hiring managers and project managers (PM). Will serve as a SME in federal recruiting for a variety of professional positions. Responsible for ensuring that all company deliverables and efforts related to talent acquisition are met.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Create postings that are accurate, engaging, and compliant with EEOC standards and regulations.
  • Manage multiple requisitions at any given time; formatting and posting optimized job descriptions.
  • Manage all phases of the recruiting process including screening resumes, selecting candidates to interview, conducting phone screens, cold calling, assisting with the offer letter process, extending offers and rejecting candidates.
  • Interviews all candidates presented for detailed interviewing by hiring managers and includes the use of face-to-face behavioral-based interviewing methodologies.
  • Administer appropriate assessments and reference/background checking; make recommendations regarding hiring a candidate.
  • Defines skill needs and build talent pools for improved hiring and retention.
  • Devise and implement creative sourcing strategies to generate a robust and superior candidate pipeline from various sources; document interactions, outreach, and screening results.
  • Follow up with candidates and hiring managers to obtain feedback regarding recruiting process; Provide weekly status reports to HR for hiring statuses.
  • Partner with proposal managers and leadership team on candidate needs for proposals.
  • Consults with the HR Director to identify personnel needs, workforce planning strategies, and search assignments.
  • Evaluating and in-depth screening of potential hires and assess for qualifications, level of interest and compensation requirements.
  • Partner with project managers to identify staffing needs, develop job specifications and duties, qualifications, and skills.
  • Attend recruiting/employment events (career fairs, industry fairs).
  • Build and maintain relationships with candidates, internal clients and other business partners to support the strategic staffing goals of providing a highly skilled workforce.
  • Establish, develop, and foster relationships and partnerships with educational institutions, professional and trade associations, public employment services, community workforce development initiatives and other organizations in order to source qualified job candidates.
  • Manage current candidate activity in the applicant tracking system (ATS).
  • Manage application/resume file and retention according to company policy.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • No supervisory responsibilities.

SCHEDULE

  • Monday – Friday, 40-hour work week
  • Telework day available

TRAVEL

  • May be up to 10% travel for recruiting initiatives (local travel)

Requirements

& QUALIFICATIONS 

  • 3-5 years of full life cycle recruiting experience; high volume recruiting preferred
  • Previous experience recruiting for federal contracting companies is highly desired
  • Experience recruiting cleared personnel preferred
  • Experience recruiting for operational support services (i.e. financial management, program/project management, administrative support)
  • Demonstrated successful complex sourcing techniques to identify difficult-to-find or limited availability skill sets
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience conducting diversity outreach
  • Forward Thinking: The ability to anticipate the implications and consequences of situations and take appropriate action to be prepared for possible contingencies
  • Demonstrated experience working with various ATS and HRIS systems
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate openly and effectively
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite and Outlook
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and to effectively manage time and priorities
  • Must have strong multi-tasking and organizational skills
  • Ability to quickly adapt as situations change and make the best possible decisions with the information at-hand
  • Ability to effectively build and maintain rapport with internal stakeholders to develop and deliver recruiting strategies and initiatives
  • Ability to work under and meet tight deadlines and deliverables
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to handle and track multiple complex searches simultaneously
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business, or a similar field; or a minimum of 5 years equivalent recruitment experience required.
