Director of Compensation

THE OPPORTUNITY

Reporting to the CHRO, the Director, Compensation will have responsibility for planning, implementing, and the administration of compensation for over 6400 employees. As this work is carried out, an emphasis will be given to maintaining, as well as improving upon, the organization’s competitive position within its markets.

The Director, Compensation will be the compensation subject matter expert for the system, staying attuned to trends in the industry. The ideal candidate will work within the human resources business partner model and be a futuristic thinker, contributing to recruitment, retention, and employee engagement within the health system.

Ideal Qualifications:

• A bachelors degree with compensation experience within a complex organization
• A proven leader with a strategic view of compensation with a general knowledge across all areas of human resources
• One who understands the business environment of MU Health Care and has the ability to look at all factors affecting compensation when providing guidance, influence, and consultation to leadership at all levels
• Experience in several industries and organizations
• Excellent communication and relationship skills
