Summary

Develops policies and coordinates human resource activities, such as employment, compensation, benefits and training.

 

Responsibilities

  • Supervise the weekly processing of payroll
  • Recruits, interviews, tests, and assists in filling vacant positions
  • Coordinates management training in interviewing, hiring, terminations, safety and sexual harassment
  • Prepares offer letters, employment separation notices
  • Administers benefit programs such as health, life, dental, disability insurance, vacation, sick, leave of absence and employee assistance
  • Keeps records of benefit plan participation and personnel records such as hires, promotions, performance reviews, terminations and employee statistics for government reporting
  • Develops and maintains a human resource system that meets top management information needs
  • Analyzes wage and salary reports and data to determine competitive compensation plan
  • Administers performance review program to ensure effectiveness, compliance and equity within the organization
  • Advises management in appropriate resolution of employee relation issues
  • Consults legal counsel to ensure that policies comply with federal and state law.
  • Contracts with outside suppliers to provide employee services, such as temporary employees, search firms.
  • Maintains training records to ensure compliance by job function
  • Develop strong company policies and onboarding process
  • Ensure and stay update on compliance of HR legal regulations-FMLA, ADA etc.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to mangers on organizational development related matters, including organizational analysis, strategy, structure, and key processes to support organizational needs.

 

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four-year college

HR certification preferred or advanced degree (MBA, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP.PHR, SPHR)

10+ years’ experience in human resource department

5+ years’ experience as a Manager or Director of Human Resources Department

Strong understanding of the interviewing process, benefits administration, payroll and other HR functions

Solid knowledge of employment Laws and regulations

Excellent communication, leadership and organizational skills

Experience leading and developing HR and other professionals

Knowledge of ADP payroll processing a plus
