We are looking for an experienced Human Resources Director to ensure that all HR operations are effectively carried out on our multi-state campuses. You’ll be responsible for developing HR strategies, attracting and retaining a superior workforce, and providing sound advice to senior management.

An HR Director must be an experienced professional with deep knowledge of all matters concerning HR departments. You should be able to manage programs and lead staff while also possessing a strong strategic mindset. You have already been a leader in a high-growth environment and are familiar with high-volume recruitment efforts.

Your goal is to meet diverse company HR needs while promoting an employee-oriented company culture that emphasizes world-class quality service, continuous improvement and high performance.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop organization strategies: Identify and research HR issues; contribute data, analysis and recommendations to organization strategic thinking and direction; establish HR objectives in line with organizational objectives.
  • Enact HR strategies: Establish department accountabilities, including talent acquisition, employment processing, training and development, compensation, records management, safety and health, employee relations and retention, succession planning, labor relations, and AA/EEO compliance; prepare reports to track strategic goal accomplishment.
  • Manage HR operations: Oversee all geographically dispersed HR team members; recruit, select, orient, train, coach, and coach direct reports; plan, monitor, appraise and review direct report contributions; conduct investigations on complaints/concerns; determine production, productivity, quality and customer service strategies; design systems; use HR tools, resources and professional development opportunities; resolve problems; implement change according to HR best practices.
  • Oversee recruitment: Lead the Recruitment Manager and team to success in a high-volume environment, as well as for hard-to-fill professional and technical positions; focus the team on quality hires with high-retention results.
  • Support management: Provide HR advice, counsel and decisions; analyze data, information and applications; participate as HR SME on new business opportunities.
  • Guide associate actions: Oversee the research, development, writing and updating of policies, procedures, methods and guidelines; communicate and enforce organization values; maintain and update performance management and improvement systems; maintain and enhance employee services as needed.

Requirements

Required:

  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in HR or a related field
  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in strategic HR roles, including managing HR personnel
  • Active affiliation with HR networks and organizations; ongoing community involvement
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop HR staff members
  • Capacity to serve as a successful member of the executive management team that provides company leadership and direction
  • Necessary skills: Excellent interpersonal and coaching skills, advanced organizational skills, above average oral and written communication skills, excellent computer skills in Microsoft Windows environment (particularly Excel, database management and record keeping)
  • Business travel as necessary

 Preferred:

  • Human Resources certifications
  • Specialized training in employee relations, compensation, organizational planning, compensation, or organization development
