Summary:

The Director Talent Acquisition is expected to: (1) Direct the full-cycle recruitment process for Safe Horizon including advertising, candidate selection, interviewing, background/reference checking, offer, and onboarding; (2) Regularly report on and analyze recruitment metrics including turnover, retention, length of time to fill vacancies, and other demographics, with an eye toward improvements and efficiencies; (3) Oversee the agency's Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and as a "super-user", is able to troubleshoot issues, run reports, and make recommendations on usage; (4) Develop and conduct trainings for managers on use of ATS, interviewing skills/best practices, and other recruitment-related activities; (5) Supervise the Talent Acquisition Team; (6) Oversee Safe Horizon’s advertising strategy for all vacant and new employment opportunities.

 

Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Build and cultivate strong relationships with client groups by understanding business objectives and providing solutions to talent needs.
  • Attract innovative talent via direct sourcing, industry networking, internet/social media recruiting, and employee referrals.
  • Facilitate best-in-class candidate experience.
  • Accurately manage the administration of candidate and requisition status reports, hiring metrics, compliance with EEOC regulations and company recruitment policies.
  • Accountable for the overall strategy and successful execution of talent acquisition solutions for assigned programs and departments; acts as Talent Acquisition subject matter expert to the organization and advises and helps to prioritize needs and delivery as related to systems initiatives.
  • Lead and/or participate on interview panels for high level job openings.
  • Maintain visibility and influence with senior leaders and HR Business Partners to ensure alignment, delivery and project management of all talent acquisition strategies including workforce planning initiatives for key growth projects.
  • Day-to-day management and direction of the overall annual recruitment budget.
  • Monitors and measures the overall effectiveness/impact of the internal and external talent acquisition strategies, and candidate satisfaction metrics.
  • Partner with diversity and inclusion committees and subcommittees to develop and implement diversity recruiting initiatives.

 

Qualifications:

·         Bachelor's Degree or equivalent relevant experience

·         5+ years of recruitment experience, including 3 years of management experience

·         Proficiency with New York City, State and Federal legal requirements around hiring and recruitment

·         Expertise in recruiting best practices, with a focus on diversity.

·         Demonstrated ability to establish oneself as a strategic, consultative partner and build highly effective relationships across the organization.

·         Must exhibit poise with strong communication, negotiation, and influencing skills

·         Demonstrated ability to manage high volume recruitment activities for various professional levels.

·         Success in implementing innovative methods to source and attract candidates.

·         Solid understanding in effectively managing the candidate and hiring manager’s experience in the recruitment and on-boarding process.

·         Ability to juggle multiple priorities/deadlines through exceptional project management.

·         Working knowledge of common HR practices, employment laws and/or government compliance regulations as it relates to recruitment and hiring.

·         MS Office Suite; ATS knowledge (ADP Workforce Now and Cornerstone preferred)

·         Experience in a not-for-profit environment and/or government agency preferred
