Job Summary:

  • Responsible for Operations and Sales Training instructional design and contributing to the development of creative learning solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Use appropriate pedagogically sound instructional design methodology – ADDIE, RID, AGILE – to create and maintain engaging learning activities and compelling course content for use in classroom and e-Learning programs for Veritext sites and remote learning.

  • Provide exercises and activities that enhance the learning process such as role plays, games, team-building activities, etc.

    • The successful candidate must be able to create system/software simulation exercises

  • Create supporting material/media such as QRGs, videos, interactive .pdf files, etc.

  • Collaborate with Operations and Sales leaders to provide input into learning solution program design and implementation.

  • Collaborate with Operations and Sales during and after training period to ensure optimal learning experience, smooth post-training transition, on-going monitoring. Responsible for cross-training on new/existing systems, content development tools, software and conducts pilot training of new material.

  • Assist in conducting gap analysis and/or review data/metrics to determine if training solution is needed and if so, what type is required.

  • Suggest training alternatives or provides educational guidance to business lines.

  • Assist with the modification of design resources/schedules in response to staffing issues and/or business needs.

  • Assist in monitoring provisions of Service Level Agreements (SLAs) to ensure productivity and quality goals are met.

  • May represent Learning & Development at cross-functional meetings and work group sessions.

  • Perform other relevant tasks as assigned by management.

Requirements

Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED required. Bachelor's Degree preferred.

 

Additional licensing, certifications, registrations:

  • American Society of Training & Development (ASTD) Certificate in instructional design / adult learning theory helpful.

 

Work experience:

  • 2 to 4 years experience in instructional design

  • 2 to 4 years experience in legal services operations in a related role (i.e., training) preferred, but not required.

 

Specialized knowledge/skills:

  • Required: Software Simulation Capabilities, knowledge of current industry trends, Adult Learning Best Practice, Instructional Development writing style and techniques, Microsoft Office, Storyline, Captivate.

  • Helpful: Web-based design, LMS administration experience, legal services industry knowledge, back office operations experience, Flash, HTML.
