The American Dental Association is dedicated to promoting the public's health through its initiatives in research, education, advocacy, public awareness and the development of standards.
This position serves as direct support to the VP, HR and has oversight for all administrative, operational, budgetary and contract functions in the HR Division. This role leads and manages the day-to-day HR administrative functions and works with each member of the HR team to ensure divisional strategies and deliverables are executed as planned; provides management support to the HR Learning & Training team, including, but not limited to: overseeing training logistics - scheduling, ordering training course materials assists with the management of vendor relationships; plays a lead role in executing HR's strategy for ADA work teams; and coordinates the data collection for HR's Quarterly Management Reporting process. This position supports a highly engaged organization-wide employee workforce with a high-performance culture.
Minimum Qualifications:
- BS/BA with a minimum of 4 years of administrative level experience or, in lieu of a bachelor's degree, a minimum of 8 years of experience.
- Must have experience with increasing levels of responsibility and decision-making autonomy and administrative experience working with Sr. Level staff.
- Previous experience in the HR field.
- Must be able to handle and triage sensitive confidential information and use solid judgment and provide information to clients/customers with tact and diplomacy.
- Must be able to manage multiple deliverables in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail required.
- Must demonstrate a customer focus with a positive attitude.
- Excellent oral/written communications, client service, organizational, interpersonal, collaborative, budget management, time management, teamwork and creative problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated comfort interacting with all levels within the organization.
- Proficiency with use of calendaring software, preferably MS Outlook to manage multiple and complex schedules with minimal supervision.
Highly Desirable Skills:
- BS/BA in Human Resources.
- Knowledge of Agile Project methodology.
- Previous experience using the following: a Learning Management System, Human Resources Management or Information System - preferably, Ultipro and budget system(s).
- Prior supervisory and report writing experience.
