Working closely with the HR team and partnering with operations, this position is responsible for recruiting, college relations, employee relations and training in assigned division(s). Works closely with managers to identify hiring needs; implement alternative sourcing strategies and talent acquisition processes. Communicate and provide guidance on federal and state laws that affect hiring, retention, and the corrective coaching process. Participate in Graniterock training and development programs and assist in leading Team Member Orientation and other training. Support One Company, Human Resources and companywide strategic initiatives, promote Company Core Values and perpetuate Graniterock culture.




EDUCATION:  Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management, Business or related field.

SKILLS:  Demonstrated experience in talent acquisition, effective use of an ATS and HRIS. Ability to communicate, interact and work collaboratively with diverse groups, ranging from field to professional and management positions. Must be a positive, proactive team member with a strong customer service orientation, excellent attention to detail and follow through. Ability to balance competing priorities in a fast-paced environment; strong sense of urgency in driving projects to completion. Excellent analytical, organizational and project management skills with strong interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills. Proficient with MS Word/Excel and HRIS software. Working knowledge of current federal/state employment laws/regulations. Demonstrate a high level of professionalism in dealing with confidential and sensitive team member information. 

EXPERIENCE:  3+ years HR experience, which includes talent acquisition 


EDUCATION:  SHRM CP certification

SKILLS: J.D. Edwards Human Resources software and Applicant Tracking System experience. Strong on-line/social media recruiting skills. Knowledge of federal and state project compliance; Affirmative Action, compensation and HR policy development. College relations experience.  

EXPERIENCE: Construction and/or mining industry Human Resources experience. 2+ years of operations management experience. 

OTHER COMMENTS: Must have valid CA Driver's License and clean driving record. Position requires frequent driving throughout the Bay Area and the ability to occasionally work flexible hours to meet business needs.
