Berkshire Associates is a human resources consulting and technology firm that specializes in helping companies build their ideal, balanced workforce.  Due to company growth, Berkshire Associates, Inc., a Best Place To Work Company, has an opening for a Human Resources / Affirmative Action Consultant. The individual in this position will provide expert consulting and complete Affirmative Action Plans for employers of varying size and complexity.  This position also provides OFCCP audit support, general human resources consulting, and training. Remote employment is available for the right candidate. Berkshire Associates provides an excellent benefits package and offers a supportive work environment that includes a casual dress code every day and a "work hard - play hard" culture. 

Responsibilities/Duties

  1. Completes multiple customer service focused client contracts to create Affirmative Action Plans, EEO-1 reports, Vets-4212 reports, OFCCP conciliation reporting, adverse impact analyses, and pay equity analyses for employers of all sizes, within defined profitability and quality measures.
  2. Provides expert consulting and advice on Affirmative Action Plan process, structure and implementation during plan process, close meetings, and through phone audit support,  and provides unique customer-focused solutions that incorporate business needs.
  3. Builds enduring client relationships, providing affirmative action and general human resources guidance as well as identifying cross-sell opportunities, discussing products and services to meet those needs.
  4. Leads or serves as a project team member for human resources consulting projects.
  5. Facilitates Berkshire public, non-public and web based training courses, as needed.
  6. Composes industry-related articles to be included in Berkshire blogs, whitepapers, and other publications.
  7. Attends periodic meetings for industry-related organizations, including but not limited to:  regional human resources societies, and industry liaison groups.
  8. Facilitates Berkshire public, non-public and online training courses as well as other human resources trainings, as needed.
  9. Assists in revising or customizing training classes and webinars.
  10. Composes industry-related articles to be included in the Berkshire blog, whitepapers, the client portal, and other publications.
  11. Attends periodic meetings for industry-related organizations, including but not limited to: MAAAO, regional human resources societies, and industry liaison groups.
  12. Develops industry knowledge through participation in professional development activities including seminars, professional magazine subscriptions, etc. and effectively communicates appropriate regulation changes and their implications to affected clients.
  13. Generates and maintains documentation of work progress and other information, including client-specific documentation for others to use when interacting with the client, utilizing internal software products as needed.

 


Requirements

Required Experience:
  • 5+ years of human resources experience with a minimum of 2 years’ experience directly related to Affirmative Action compliance.
  • Knowledge of related Equal Employment Opportunity regulations including E.O 11246, ADA, Title VII, VEVRAA, Section 503 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, etc.  

Required Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field.  Master’s degree preferred. 

Required Qualifications:

Must have

  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent oral and written communications and customer service skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work independently and with a team
  • Understanding of statistical methods, including regression analysis and measures of statistical significance.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite.
