Primary Function: Provide human resources related services to Florida and Arkansas schools in recruitment and onboarding, employee relations, policies and procedures, legal compliance, benefit administration, data and reporting, leaves and other administrative duties.

I Employee Relations

  • Responsible for recruitment, posting and screening of all applicants for vacant positions
  • Compiles, updates and distributes new hire packets and responsible for onboarding of new employees
  • Completes salary recommendations and makes employment offers to prospective employees to ensure they understand their total compensation package including salary and benefits
  • Ensures all recommendation for new hire paperwork is completed and in compliance with established policies and maintains all applicant documentation as required by law
  • Updates and manages all job descriptions ensuring they are current and formatted correctly
  • Coordinates with Principals and local agencies to fill substitute position needs and track substitute invoices for accuracy
  • Develops, manages, tracks and maintains employment agreements
  • Develops, manages, tracks and maintains electronic calendars
  • Distributes and monitors all employee performance evaluations
  • Tracks and manages new human resources policies
  • Assists employees with human resources requests for information
  • Updates employee information changes
  • Responds to verification of employment status

II Human Resources Policies and Procedures

  • Completes personnel requisitions for new and current employee changes regarding salary, title, status and employee information
  • Establishes and maintains accounts and systems for fingerprints/background checks
  • Maintains and audits personnel files for content and accuracy
  • Develops, recommends and implements personnel policies and procedures
  • Prepares, maintains and manages employee handbooks
  • Prepares and maintains salary schedules
  • Develops, reviews and rolls out Total Compensation Letters
  • Work with certificated staff in Florida and Arkansas to ensure personnel hold and maintain appropriate certification

III Benefit Administration

  • Administers health benefits program for all employees in Florida and Arkansas
  • Provides regular and updated benefit information to educate employees on options, costs, and resources available to maximize their optimal use of provided benefits
  • Strives to ensure employee understanding of benefits programs by regularly generating communication and counseling employees as situations arise
  • Manages open enrollment period annually and communicate and problem-solve with employees regarding plan changes and process changes within designated timelines
  • Works with payroll staff to process monthly billings for accuracy and payments and to resolve discrepancies with carriers, payroll and NEWCorp, Inc.
  • Answers questions and inquiries from employees regarding benefits and problem-solves and assists employees with benefit issues

IV Employee Leaves

  • Works with employees to ensure all Worker’s Compensation work-related injuries processes and procedures are followed correctly
  • Ensure compliance and follow-up with all Worker’s Compensation paperwork and reporting
  • Works with employees on Extended Medical Leave (EML) for all employees concerning notification of rights and sending out correspondence
  • Track all leaves and works with employees at end of leave to return back to work

Salary:      $45,000.00 -$52,186.20

                 Master’s Supplement$1,500

Requirements

MinimumRequirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • Master's Degree from an accredited institution preferred
  • Five (5) years of successful human resources generalist experience
  • SPHR or SHRM-SCP preferred
  • Valid Florida driver’s license
