SUMMARY: The HR Coordinator will assist employees with benefits enrollment and questions, manages insurance billing reconciliation, maintains employee benefits database and files, and assists with payroll processing.  This person will also support the development and administration of Tauck’s Corporate Wellness programming.

POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Coordinates various employee benefits programs, such as group health, flexible spending accounts, dental and vision, accident and disability, life insurance, 401(k), and wellness benefits

  • Conduct benefits orientations and explain benefits self-enrollment system

  • Maintain employee benefits filing systems and ensure benefit changes are entered appropriately into payroll system for payroll deduction

  • Assist employees with health, dental, life and other related benefit claims

  • Resolve administrative problems with the carrier representatives

  • Administer COBRA

  • Coordinate Worker’s Compensation claims with third party administrators. Follow-up on claims

  • Prepare and set up meetings designed to help employees obtain information and understand company benefits and other related incentive programs.  Ensure distribution of required employee notices

  • Coordinate FMLA/Disability Leave programs

  • Organize annual health fairs and other health/wellness related events

  • Help Design and Administer Wellness Incentive program

  • Support Safety Committee

  • Human Response/Family Foundation coordination

  • Liaison between Human Resources and Payroll Department to ensure current and accurate benefit information in payroll system

  • Administer Employee Travel Benefit/Employee Travel Training program

  • Coordinate company-wide Special Events

  • Assist with Company-Wide communication, including editorial function for Company intranet

  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

 KNOWLEDGE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Human Resources with a focus in benefits

  • Knowledge of payroll a plus

  • Must be able to communicate within a team and cross-functionally

  • Should be a self-starter and able to thrive in a fast paced, deadline driven environment

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, efficiently prioritize projects and embrace new challenges

  • Enthusiastic and Customer-oriented committed to maintaining high standards of performance on the job; cooperates with others and helps foster a team environment

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint

  • Excellent oral and written communications skills to effectively communicate the Tauck brand, including public speaking and presentation skills.
