Booster is seeking a purpose-driven person with multiple years of proven HR experience to lead the charge of growing our talent and culture as the new HR Generalist for our Home Office! This person will design and deliver people programs, processes, and systems that align with our core values and help build strong and high-performing teams across the organization. A strong candidate will have demonstrated leadership on the people side of the business, and bring to the table a strong foundation of all that plays into a successful people practice. 
To excel in this role, you’ll need superb communication skills, emotional intelligence, consultative abilities, and have a proven track record of excellence and growth in prior HR responsibilities. You should display a high degree of confidence, professionalism, foundational HR understanding, and the ability to manage HR for impact in the context of a fast-growing and purpose-driven organization.


Talent Acquisition – Source and hire team members who raise the bar for Booster’s talent and culture
  • Full-life cycle recruitment – Facilitate intake conversations with hiring managers, develop job descriptions, source candidates (internal and external), manage candidate experience and communications, assist with interviewing, and advise on hiring process and decision
  • New-Hire Onboarding - Design, develop, and implement a world-class onboarding experience for new team members. Guide new team members from offer acceptance through their first 90 days on the job.
  • Talent Pool Development – Identify and build relationships with the highest ROI talent partnerships for Home Office teams
  • Internship Program – Develop and coordinate an effective internship program that aligns with field and Home Office team development
Culture and Engagement – Lead efforts to drive Home Office culture development, communication, and engagement
  • Engagement – lead the review, analysis, action planning, and communication of engagement/culture survey results
  • Culture – own and drive culture development in the Home Office through input into events/office meetings and facilitating Booster’s Home Office culture task force
  • Rewards/Recognition – assist with development and execution of a meaningful rewards and recognition program
  • Communication – deliver strong communication, awareness, and engagement through regular written and verbal communications to the Home Office (e.g. monthly newsletter and all-Home Office meeting announcements)
Employee Relations 
  • Develop strong understanding of all Home Office teams, roles, team members, and historical context
  • Provide coaching, counsel, and support to Home Office leaders and team members for a wide range of issues and opportunities, including career development, conflict resolution, performance improvement, and HR policy
Talent Management and Development – Deliver talent systems and training that effectively assess and develop talent throughout the Booster Home Office
  • Training - Identify, design, and deliver training and development opportunities that generate the highest ROI for Home Office team members
  • Performance Management - Support design and delivery of a performance management system that aligns to culture, development, and organizational goals
  • Career Development – Create line of sight to team member advancement opportunities. Provide coaching and resourcing to support team member development plans that align to career goals and organizational needs. 
Human Resource Information Systems – Maintain accurate and up to date HR data records in our HR information systems to support effective HR management and compliance
  • Maintain employee-related databases (e.g. Salesforce, Paycom, Okta) and update as needed for all employee changes
  • Prepare, analyze, and communicate HR information reports to support other functions
  • Assist with improving HR data management practices, including creating a “source of HR data truth”
Compensation and Benefits Administration 
  • Compensation and Raises – Improve and execute annual merit increase process, including creating resources and guidelines for team leaders to effectively communicate raises to team members
  • Benefits administration – Support processing of employee benefits changes in Paycom, and answer employee questions regarding benefits usage
Miscellaneous Projects – There are always new projects and opportunities around the corner! Examples may include: HRIS data cleanup, offer letter review and redesign, engagement survey vendor research, “People Playbook” development.

We’re looking for someone who…

  • 1-3 years of demonstrated experience and impact on the people side of business. Brings foundational knowledge, strong intuition, and critical thinking to complex people issues. PHR or SHRM-CP is preferred.
  • Builds strong and effective working relationships quickly at all levels of the organization.
  • Is comfortable and capable diving into the nitty-gritty details of HR, data, and systems, knowing that little details can have a big impact
  • Is people-oriented, with superb communication skills (written and verbal), and a high level of confidence, professionalism, and positivity
  • Is fueled by achieving goals and targets through a variety of HR activities
  • Demonstrates strong working knowledge of HR technology systems
  • Exudes integrity, ethical work, and extreme discretion in confidential situations
