SUMMARY:

Provide comprehensive support to day-to-day human resources functions and duties. The HR Generalist carries out responsibilities in some or all of the following functional areas: recruiting/selection, organizational development, employee relations, benefit administration, compensation management and payroll, performance management, HRIS, and functioning as a business partner with senior managers.


This individual will report to the VP-Human Resources and will have plant HR responsibility for 2 facilities (Fountain Valley and North of San Diego), and approximately 100 employees total.

 

 

 

Requirements

.

REQUIREMENTS:

 

*         BA/BS in Business Administration, Human Resources Management or related discipline preferred.

 

*         3-5 years of general business experience and human resources generalist experience in a manufacturing environment, and general knowledge of various CA employment laws, regulations and practices.

 

*         Highly skilled in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). In depth knowledge of excel to include pivot tables, graphs for reporting purposes. Technical ability to communicate and develop presentations through PowerPoint.

 

*     Knowledge and administration of FMLA/ADA/CFRA/SDI, workers compensation, and various annual reporting requirements such as Affirmative Action Planning and OFCCP requirements.

 

*     Experience in benefits administration and managing self-funded benefits plans.

 

*         Highly skilled in database management, record keeping and HRIS systems.

 

*         Excellent organizational skills and attention to details.

 

*         Must be able to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.

 

*         Must be able to gather and analyze information skillfully.           

 

*         Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills; communicating effectively at all levels of the organization.

 

*         Assist with the employee training and development.

 

*         Able to exhibit a high level of confidentiality and be self-motivated.

 

 

 

RESPONIBILITIES:    

 

*         Provide general human resources support such as supporting all transactional HR functions, confidential report generation, filing electronic and hard copy, tracking deadlines, partnering with management to achieve organizational goals.

 

*         Establishing, maintaining and controlling personnel, training and recruitment related records, files, correspondence, reports and organization charts.

 

*         Maintaining employee files and changes in employee status to include approvals on forms, and data entry in all applicable HRIS systems.  

 

*         Managing sensitive and confidential matters like personnel relations, employee relations, and organizational changes, planning and protecting the security of information, data and files.

 

*         Conducting research, gathering data and statistical reports and maintaining statistical information and creating PowerPoint presentations

 

       *     Interacting with and communicating information to employees, department heads and job applicants.

 

       *     Interface and collaborate with HR teams at all levels of the RBC organization.
