Job Summary:

The Talent Acquisition Specialist serves as an influential partner, supporting leadership in recruitment efforts. This position plays a key role in attracting, sourcing, interviewing, retaining, developing and on-boarding of new talent. You will collaborate with internal hiring managers on strategic and tactical recruitment through creative sourcing methods, networking, and employment branding.

 

Summary of Essential Job Functions:

Establish working relationships with management to determine hiring needs and assist with navigating all phases of the talent acquisition process

  • Experience leveraging recruitment sourcing strategies to source passive candidates. Maintain social media presence through online channels (e.g. social media platforms, LinkedIn, Indeed, professional networks, etc.)
  • Participate in industry, technical and professional organizations, and local colleges and universities to enhance and coordinate training and staffing programs
  • Responsible for developing, evaluating, leading and continuously improving talent attraction and retention programs including: employee referral, candidate experience, diversity hiring and internal movement.
  • Coordinates and aids hiring managers regarding utilizing recruitment tools, interviewing, and hiring practices.
  • Build an elite candidate pipeline to create a talent pool for an as needed basis
  • Stay up to date on industry trends and possess a subject matter expert level of knowledge on trends in talent acquisition
  • Seamlessly guide candidates through the interview process ensuring a positive experience
  • Responsible for conducting Principle Training for new and existing team members
  • Proven knowledge of utilizing HRIS and ATS system to screen potential hires and assist them throughout the interview and hiring process.
  • Maintain and analyze data on recruitment activities (time-to-fill vacancies, hires, transfers, promotions and terminations)
  • Conducts new hire orientation and exit interviews; partner closely with management to ensure seamless transition to Interstates onboarding program
  • Administer onboarding process for new hires (background and drug screenings, I-9 completion, handbook & policy acknowledgements, new hire kits, etc.)
  • Backup for payroll processing.
  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned

 

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Knowledge of federal, state and local laws/regulations pertaining to employment
  • Prior success in developing and executing full life-cycle recruiting
  • Proven experience leveraging effective sourcing strategies
  • Experience maintaining applicant tracking systems
  • Proven experience in assessing and selecting exceptional talent for the business
  • Experience effectively utilizing staffing resources as needed
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to multi-task
  • Excellent selection and process management skills
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure with multiple priorities and in a team environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications required

Requirements

Education and/or Experience Requirements:

  • A bachelor's degree and five (5) years of Human Resources experience,
  • Or combination of education and experience.
  • Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification preferred.
  • Payroll experience required.
  • Ultimate Software experience a plus.

 

Physical Requirements:

 

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear; taste or smell
  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
  • Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus

 

Candidates must pass a pre-employment Drug Screen, Background Check.
