Job Summary

Responsible for performing a wide variety of tasks in the areas of human resources, benefits, project management, employee services, compliance, employment law and related administrative support of the corporate office.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Administers various human resources plans and procedures for all company personnel while maintaining compliance with HR practices and employment regulations.
  • Works directly with Hiring Managers in Recruiting activities and handles the full life-cycle recruiting process, while ensuring compliance with OFCCP regulations.
  • Performs New Hire Orientations and Onboarding activities.
  • Enters new hires, status changes, terminations into HRIS.
  • Communicates and administers company benefits programs, including the processing of monthly invoices, open enrollment activities, and employee education on plans/programs available.
  • Manages Leaves to include FMLA and other LOAs.
  • Audits Employee records to ensure compliance and proper document retention.
  • Files Annual reports to include EE0-1and Vets Reports, while maintaining records, reports, and logs to meet regulations.
  • Prepares and maintains employee handbook, policies, and procedures manual.
  • Participates in developing departmental goals and objectives.
  • Responsible for management and processing of work visa and sponsorship needs while coordinating with corporate immigration attorney.
  • Conducts Personnel File and I-9 audits on a quarterly basis.
  • Performs employee background screens and references checks at time of hire, and when required for Client projects.
  • Conducts compensation analysis at management request.
  • Handles low level employee relations counseling, outplacement counseling, and exit interviewing.
  • Assists in evaluation of reports, decisions, and results of department in relation to established goals. Recommends new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed.
  • Maintains Human Resource Information System records and compiles reports from database.
  • Assist with corporate event planning.
  • General office duties as needed.
  • Manage various HR mid-level projects.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong knowledge of Human Resource practices.
  • Knowledgeable in US employment law.
  • Skilled in policy and procedure development and compliance.
  • Outstanding verbal, written, and communication skills.
  • Experience in HRMS database implementation and support.
  • Able to plan, organize, prioritize and coordinate work assignments.
  • Proficient in, MS Office Suite, including intermediate skill level in Excel.
  • Skilled in critical thinking and problem resolution.
  • Ability to work independently as well as within a team.


Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or a related field or any combination of education and experience.
  • PHR or SHRM-CP Certification is preferred.
  • 3 - 5 years of Human Resource Generalist experience.

Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements

The environmental factors and/or physical requirements of this position include the following: While performing the duties of this job, the associate is required to have ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations; and the ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to medium weights of 10-50 pounds. Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm, hand and finger dexterity, including ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate equipment and read application information. The associate frequently is required to sit, reach with hands and arms, talk and hear.
