Exciting opportunity to join a growing, dynamic private equity company in Buckhead. Atticus Franchise Group is a firm focused on investment opportunities in franchise companies in the Southeast, concentrating on multi-unit franchisee portfolio opportunities (currently 800+ employees across the Massage Envy, Wingstop and Maaco platforms).

 

The person in this role would assist in carrying out and developing strategy around the following functions: employee relations, risk management, payroll & payroll auditing programs (I9 verification, rate etc.), performance review process/succession planning, and other general Human Resource functions.

 

This position requires an extremely perceptive person who can relate to individuals at all levels within the organization. The Generalist must be sensitive to corporate needs, employee and the business needs.

 

Essential Functions

  • Coaches, counsels and guides management personnel on employee relations/disciplinary actions
  • Helps in the development and maintenance/reporting of employee performance and succession planning programs
  • Maintains current knowledge of applicable state and federal wage and hour laws
  • Stays current on payroll systems to ensure payroll & benefits accuracy and alignment with accounting
  • Facilitates management and employee understanding of payroll procedures, occasionally assists with payroll processing and follow-up
  • Manages and tracks all employee disciplinary action
  • Prepares and analyzes regular reporting for management/partnership team
  • Ensures compliance with all applicable state and federal wage and hour laws
  • Ensures compliance with USCIS Form I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification; periodically audits Forms I-9
    • Reports, maintains and monitors all workers' compensation case files; follows-up on open cases
    • Monitors employee eligibility for benefits plans. Reviews benefits with employees and processes enrollment, cancellation or changes. Organizes and manages annual open enrollment communications and election process.
