Provide responsible, advanced, professional and administrative support work in the day-to-day management of the areas of compensation, employment, and immigration.

Perform compensation duties related to the maintenance, implementation, and administration of the University’s compensation policies and programs. Provide support and assistance necessary to develop and administer compensation policies and programs. Prepare recommendation for compensation actions using information gathered from market research, employee data and salary surveys. Maintain database of all job descriptions and compensation actions.

Administer all aspects of recruitment and onboarding process for faculty and administrative and professional positions with a focus on timeliness, accuracy and delivery of exemplary customer service while ensuring compliance with campus and system wide policies and procedures and federal and state laws and regulations. Remain abreast of employment issues, trends, best practices, and law. Review and process actions/contracts for faculty and administrative and professional positions, which includes initiating background checks, and processing eForms, ensuring compliance with all applicable EEO laws, policy, regulations, rules and procedures.

Manage the University’s immigration program by evaluating and coordinating immigration employment. Administer all aspects of immigration-related employment-based applications, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Assist with the development, integration, and implementation of policy regarding hiring practices for foreign nationals. Maintain appropriate documentation relating to visas, petitions and any other information relating to employment-based immigration.

Actively manage all processes around the federally required I-9 work authorization form, including documentation verification, records management and compliance. Ensure I-9's with work authorization expirations are updated/re-verified as needed.

Create, provide and/or coordinate training to campus customers on all employment matters (i.e. onboarding process, using PeopleSoft, Immigration issues, recruitment and selection, etc.)

Manage all updates and changes to the employment and immigration portion of the HR website.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, International Relations, Higher Education Administration or Education with a concentration in Human Resources, or equivalent.

Five (5) years' administrative or supervisory experience in human resource management, with an expertise in immigration, compensation or employment areas. Knowledge of applicable regulations, rules, public policies, and laws.

Notary Public of the State of Texas, or obtain at time of hire.
