Position Summary


The HR Manager will lead the HR Team in areas of Benefits Administration, Recruiting, Compliance, HRIS Optimization, and Onboarding, while keeping Organizational Effectiveness at the core.  In addition, individual will serve as an effective business partner to all leaders within Lawrence assisting in employee engagement, accountability and building a strong culture of excellence.  Primary areas of responsibility include:

  1. Work closely with managers and employees to build a strong culture of accountability

  2. Serve as a trusted business partner to communicate initiatives in a way that creates awareness and understanding, and action

  3. Analyze and appropriately communicate benefits programs, always, whether meeting individually with employees or facilitating group meetings.  Must understand the full scope of benefit offerings, and our performance against each plan.

  4. Resolving concerns in a way that connects to Lawrence’s mission, vision, values, and core competencies

  5. Continually analyze all benefit plans and policies to ensure affordability, competitiveness, and compliance

  6. Build, plan and continually oversee new employee onboarding/orientation that fosters positive culture building and assist new employees in success as they learn the Lawrence way of conducting business

  7. Optimize HRIS and ensure data integrity for employee files, benefits and change processes, and all other HR related information

  8. Coordinate and lead communication initiatives (benefits, policies, programs, etc.) leading to understanding and positive-influence

  9. Build solutions that provide value through our Employee Self Service portal (Kronos Workforce Ready)

  10. Lead annual performance review and compensation processes that focus on developing and coaching employees for performance

  11. Oversee employee processes including FMLA, ADA, Affirmative Action, ERISA, EEO reporting and ACA compliance

  12. Lead and participate in continuous improvement initiatives that initially focus on processing current duties that can be handled more efficiently

  13. Oversee documentation processes and other duties as assigned

  14. Will provide overall HR expertise in each of the following Functional Areas:  talent attraction and selection, onboarding, meeting staffing plans, HR compliance, and HRIS administration and optimization

  15. Facilitate stay and exit interviews while assisting in the employee life cycle to include effective off boarding
