HR/Payroll Coordinator


Job Purpose/ 

Candidate will contribute to all aspects of the Human Resources including HRIS, Benefits, Payroll, Staffing. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:


Job Duties/

  • Partner with HR Generalist to post open positions on job boards through the Applicant Tracking System. Maintain accurate information on all job boards. Ensure that job postings match job descriptions.
  • Participate in screening, sorting of resumes and applicants, scheduling and coordination of interviews and conduct reference checks where needed.
  • Prepare offer letters and employment verification letters as needed.
  • Work with team to administer the on-boarding process and on-line benefit enrollment process for all new hires.
  • Update staffing calendars; coordinate and schedule 60-day and 90-day check-in meetings for new hires.
  • Input all new hire information and employee changes (compensation, employee status changes, job title changes, terminations, etc.) in the HRIS Portal in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Manage and update information on the HRIS Portal (disciplinary actions, trainings, licensing/certifications, company property).
  • Assist employees with various inquiries regarding employment policies, procedures and benefits.
  • Organize and maintain all personnel files and other HR related information related to payroll, visas, benefits.
  • Provide timely and accurate metrics and data as required for management (i.e. monthly headcount reports, turnover, org charts). This includes designing standard and ad hoc reports using the HRIS, Excel or other tools.
  • Provide support to HR Generalist in streamlining and coordinating the annual performance review and salary compensation review process.
  • Participate in annual benefits review and coordination of benefits communication.
  • Provide support to HR Generalist with accurate and timely census reports for annual benefits contract renewals.
  • Ensure all employees are appropriately recorded in each benefit vendor system. Update benefit administration changes in HRIS (additions, deletions, status changes, address changes etc).
  • Track follow-up items for open enrollment and new hires.
  • Field benefit related questions throughout the year.
  • Review company-wide time sheets for completion and accuracy.



Skills and Qualifications/

  • 2-4 years’ experience supporting HR and Payroll using and maintaining integrated HR/payroll systems (preferably ReadyPay Online)
  • Expertise in HR and payroll reporting including design and creation of reports via HR/payroll systems and spreadsheets
  • Comprehensive knowledge and administration of FMLA
  • Comprehensive knowledge and administration of unemployment claims
  • Familiarity with Federal, State laws and regulations concerning employment
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel and Word
  • Strong proclivity to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and quickly adapt to changes in work assignment.
  • Professional poise about written/verbal communication and team collaboration
  • Exercise discretion and maintain a high level of confidentiality
  • Proactive and enthusiastic, with high attention to detail
  • Excellent people /communication/customer service skills; ability to communicate clearly and concisely verbally and in writing



  • Bachelor’s degree in Human resources, Business, or a related field or equivalent experience
