 Job Summary: The HR & Payroll Manager processes bi-weekly payrolls weekly for approx. 200 employees each week, updates employee records with changes, enters benefits enrollments and terminations; and tracks cobra, leaves of absence, and other events related to our employees. This position supports our restaurants during the open enrollment process, updates human resources materials, provides new hire packets and benefits materials, and reinforces company policies and procedures for efficient and accurate payroll processing. Also assists with ACA and other compliance reporting, ensures accurate W-2's, reconciles wages and taxes, and makes general journal entries and adjustments at month end to record payroll and benefits transactions. 

Requirements

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Intermediate-Level QuickBooks Skills
  • Experience processing payroll through ADP Workforce Now or other system
  • Understanding of payroll, taxes, and basic HR laws and regulations for our industry
  • Good problem-solving skills – not afraid to ask questions and gather facts for sound decision-making
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in order to meet deadlines
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, with intermediate-level MS Excel skills
  • Must be well-organized and keep track of own progress with projects and tasks
  • Degree in Accounting, Human Resources, or Business Administration
