Position Overview

Responsible for developing and executing IT talent acquisition strategies to fulfill the credit union's talent needs. Creates and maintains a strong recruitment brand to enhance the credit union's ability to attract the best talent by leveraging social media channels, marketing, technology, and other networks. Partners and consults with hiring managers and various department heads to identify the requisite skills, talents, knowledge, job requirements and career progression strategies. Responsible for networking and establishing external relationships to promote SSFCU and develop a pipeline of specialized talent.

Essential Job Functions

  • Acts as the lead person on developing, implementing and monitoring Human Resources social media presence. Develops, executes and maintains SSFCU HR social media channels using a variety of content.
  • Responsible for managing all phases of talent acquisition including planning, branding, sourcing, recruiting, interviewing, selecting, and on-boarding. Tasked with developing a strategic talent acquisition platform aligned with the credit union's culture and values.
  • Stays abreast and alert to position Human Resources recruiting opportunities into relevant conversations and hot topics trending on social media channels. Identifies key social influencers and leverages opportunities to interact where appropriate.
  • Works with leadership to identify strategic methods of recruiting technical talent while adhering to the SSFCU methodology and process. Oversees the coordination of IT recruiting to find qualified workers.
  • Creates a network of external relationships to promote SSFCU brand, culture and employment opportunities.

Additional Job Responsibilities

  • Develops and maintains partnerships with line management to proactively recruit and retain talented workforce into the CU.
  • Supports Human Resources by performing in-depth independent research and analysis of a variety of data including but not limited to recruiting.
  • Provides business process analysis across all Human Resources functions, makes necessary business recommendations for process improvement and maximizes department efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Collaborates with business partners to develop creative campaigns and promotions that drive the best talent by managing and building the social community through various recruiting activities. Recommends and leverages social media tools that enhance HR knowledge and recruiting activities.
  • Develops social media strategy and long-term goals. Curates content from other channels and stays on top of trends/news in our industry.
  • Leverages relevant content for social channels. Executes regular content across Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Training

Requires Bachelor's degree in applicable business discipline (e.g. Business, Marketing, Communications, Human Resources) or equivalent experience.


Knowledge and Experience

  • Requires three years of experience in Human Resources with basic knowledge of HR Generalist responsibilities. Requires two years of social media and/or digital marketing experience, publishing, writing and content creation.
  • Requires strong knowledge of State and Federal laws including, EEO and FLSA.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word) is required.
  • Requires five years of IT recruiting experience in a corporate or staffing agency setting, specifically for candidates with specific technology skill sets.
  • Social media skills, including LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, etc.

  • Requires ability to manage several projects simultaneously.
  • Requires the ability to work independently with minimal supervision and to meet deadlines.

Physical Requirements

SEDENTARY WORK: Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Walking & standing are required only occasionally. Close visual acuity to perform activities like analyzing data, typing, writing, viewing a computer, reading, inspecting small parts or assembling.


Working Conditions

  • Generally works in an office environment but may occasionally be required to perform job duties outside of the typical office setting. General office hours are M-F 8:30 -- 5:30.
  • May provide assistance and tasks at other locations or branches on an as needed basis.
  • May drive vehicle if needed.
