The HRIS Manager’s primary focus is Project Management. In addition, this role is to direct and coordinate the development of Mistras Group’s Human Resources Information System. This individual serves as the technical point of contact and assists other subject matter experts with ensuring data integrity, testing, report writing and process improvement opportunities. This position interacts closely with payroll, benefits, recruiting, and other HR staff to support employee data needs for these areas.



  • Manage the review, testing and implementation of the information system upgrades or patches. Collaborate with functional and technical staff to coordinate application of upgrades. Maintains and develops system tables.
  • Provide system support including, but not limited to, researching and resolving HRIS problems, unexpected results or process flaws; perform scheduled activities; recommend solutions or alternative methods.
  • Serve as a liaison between HR and IT to effect programming changes and implement users’ requests and system enhancements.
  • Write, maintain and support regular and ad-hoc reports or queries to support day-to-day HR operations; as well as internal/external customer needs.
  • Capable of making changes to the department security.  Familiar with user profile creation, dynamic role assignment and the like.
  • Monitor data entry by employees and HR staff.
  • Work with the HR team to evaluate HR system needs and design new or modify existing HR systems to meet changing business demands.  Analyze metrics and HR work flow to automate and improve HR processes.
  • Provide research and analysis as needed in the development and execution of HR related projects.
  • Manage and oversee the work of direct reports.
  • Create training materials and presentations that can be used by fellow members in HR.
  • Develop HRIS related SOP’s.
  • Management of vendor relationships to assure we are getting the best product utilization and results.
  • Integration and centralization of international employees and systems.
  • This position may include other duties as assigned.




  • Bachelor’s degree in either Human Resources or an Information Systems discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of technical HRIS experience with a proven track record of strategic system development and project management.
  • Experience with UltiPro strongly preferred.
  • Excellent computer skills in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Detail oriented, with strong analytical skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects at once.
  • Ability to maintain confidential information.
  • Ability to effectively manage others.
  • Know of HR processes, procedures, and policies.
