Description We are looking for a HR Generalist in Webster Massachusetts, This individual must have experience in a manufacturing environment.  In this role the individual will be the face of HR for the facility and needs to be comfortable being in a stand alone role reporting directly to the Plant Manager and indirectly to the Director of HR in Canada.   The HR Generalist will have experiences in the Family & Medical Leave Act admin, Workmen's Compensation Board administration, Benefits administration and OSHA would be big plus and asset. This plant requires someone experienced within a union environment. In addition to a solid salary package with benefits this role is overtime eligible.  
It is essential that the person will be HRIS Payroll - ADP Time & Attendance friendly

Education and/or Experience                                           

Relevant university degree or five years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

Language Skills                                           

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.  Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

 

Mathematical Skills                                                 

Ability to add subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and intpret bar graphs.

 

Reasoning Ability                                                    

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.  Ability to interpret variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
