Job Title:                            Human Resources Director

Department:                      Operations

 

Summary

Under direct supervision of the CFO/COO the Human Resources Director is responsible forperforming HR-related duties on a professional level. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: benefits administration, employee relations, training, performance management, onboarding, policy implementation, recruitment/employment, and employment law compliance.

 

Essential Functions

  • Responsible for the bookkeeping and payroll functions utilizing Quickbooks and other software programs.
  • Responsible for all deposits, allocations, credit card and bank statement reconciliation.
  • Administers the employee 401K plan including semimonthly payroll processing of contributions, annual reporting to the provider, and filing of the form 5500.
  • Participates and facilitates in the recruitment and onboarding of new employees.
  • Responsible for updating and maintaining the Employee Policy manual and annual employee training. Tracks CPR certifications for therapists and trainers.
  • Reviews and provides recommendations for salaries and benefits offered by the company, ensuring compliance with related federal and state employment laws.
  • Serves as a consultant on federal and state employment laws that affect the company, including but not limited to: performance improvement plans, input on policies and procedure, input on hiring/promoting, guidance in terminations, and leave of absence administration.
  • Maintains employee personnel files and ensures the files are in compliance with federal and state employment laws.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
  • Organize and/or attend meetings; check-ins with supervisor, Director’s meetings. Other meetings may be required as assigned by supervisor.
  • Maintains email list and website, responds to online patient reviews.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

 

Required Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalency.
  • HR certification through SHRM or HRCI or equivalent years of experience.
  • Experience using Quickbooks Desktop or other similar Human Resources Information System (HRIS).

 

Work Environment

This position operates in a professional medical office environment. Usage of computers, phones, fax machines and other office equipment also required.

 

 

Physical Demands

This position is largely a sedentary role, however some filing and organizing of the office is required. This would require the ability to lift, open cabinets, and bend or stand as necessary.

 

Hours of Work

This is an exempt position, hours of work are determined by the workload and business needs.
