The Human Resources (“HR”) Generalist will join Pine Tree’s growing team and contribute to our 25-year track record of success. This individual will have broad oversight and autonomy over the HR function on departmental and organizational levels. The HR Generalist will be a critical member of the Senior Leadership team and report directly to the Chief Operating Officer. The ideal candidate will be responsible for recruitment efforts, new-hire orientation and onboarding, employee termination, payroll and benefits, company policy and procedure adherence. In addition, you will build strong relationships with our Pine Tree's managers in order to help them with their HR needs.

Responsibilities:
Collaborate with Senior Leadership to proactively manage all HR functions of the organization including, but not limited to:

  • Organizational culture improvement initiatives
  • Working with third party providers and employees to select employee benefit programs
  • Identify and execute best practices for employee recruitment, interviewing, onboarding and exiting
  • Identify and analyze employee performance metrics
  • Coordinate ongoing training and development initiatives to include performance management, diversity, sexual harassment and others
  • Coordinate and maintain employee evaluations
  • Provide employee relations support including conflict resolution, disciplinary action and performance improvement plans
  • Review and improve employee compensation structures to ensure alignment with goals and objectives of the organization, department and individual
  • Conduct semi-annual reviews and provide comprehensive report to Chief Operating Officer on the state of the organization’s HR systems, processes, procedures and practices

Requirements

  • Minimum 7 years of related HR experience, ideally within real estate industry
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Management or Business (advanced degree preferred)
  • HR-related designations are preferred
  • Familiarity with ADP and ADP software is preferred
  • Possess strong written and verbal communication skills (MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Possess critical thinking and evaluation skills
  • Willingness to work in forward-thinking, fast-paced and change-oriented environment
  • Ability to manage confidential and sensitive information
  • Results oriented
  • Willingness to express opinion and challenge the status quo
