Your roles/responsibilities will include:

  • Direct responsibility for the overall administration and coordination of HR functions at Acutronic USA Inc. in Pittsburgh.

  • Direct responsibility for managing and processing all payroll, benefits, healthcare, and 401K payments;

  • Advising management on employee compensation issues, including annual salary benchmarking/surveys;

  • Managing and improving the company’s quarterly performance review system;

  • Developing, recommending and implementing personnel policies and procedures, such as the employee handbook and career-path programs;

  • Ensuring compliance with all federal, state and local employment laws.

  • Maintaining an affirmative action program; filing EEO-1 annually; and maintaining other records, reports and logs to conform to EEO regulations.

  • Performing HR-related required filings; managing federal contractor filing requirements, such as VETS 4212 reporting; and maintaining all employee files to ensure legal and government contractor compliance.

  • Conducting recruitment efforts for all new hire requirements, including writing and managing advertisements, working with supervisors to screen and interview candidates, conducting reference checks, extending job offers; managing new employee onboarding process, including the I-9 and E-verify process; conducting new-employee orientations; and conducting exit interviews.

  • Administering and monitoring employee-training programs.

  • Performing other duties as required and assigned.



Your qualifications/skills should include:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field or equivalent in work experience;

  • 3 - 5 years of experience as an HR Generalist;

  • Highly detail oriented; the ideal candidate should be someone who strives for perfection across all tasks;

  • Strong communication skills (written and spoken);

  • Conflict resolution skills; ability to motivate and coach employees;

  • Strong Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills;

  • Experience with modern HR tools and strategies;

  • Able to work across cultures and coordinate with multiple managers, including some that may be located overseas;

  • Strong time-management skills; self-starter; highly motivated;

  • Occasional travel required;

  • Must be a United States Citizen or Permanent Resident.


Position type / physical demand:

  • This is a full-time position. The company operates on a ‘9-80’ schedule, whereby employees work 80 hours over 9 business days and having every second Friday off.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift or move office products and supplies.
