The Human Resources Generalist (Talent Acquisition) position is responsible for full life-cycle recruiting, including screening and recommending of placement of staff by using creative sourcing methods (internal and external). This role also entails providing guidance, support, and coordination in the consistent and effective application of policies, procedures, and practices of the Human Resources Department. This individual must be highly skilled in the following areas: full life-cycle recruiting, developing and delivering training to associates, compensation and job grading analysis, and documenting HR processes. The overall responsibility of the Human Resources Generalist (Talent Acquisition) is to assist the HR Director in every aspect of human resources. This is a temp-to-hire position.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Screens resumes, interviews candidates (by phone or in person), administers appropriate assessments and reference/background checking, makes recommendations for hire (or not hire) and delivers employment offers for both exempt and nonexempt position openings within an assigned territory.
  • Functions as subject matter expert for Behavioral Interview Training; utilizes this method for interviews and conducts training for hiring managers on Behavioral Interviewing.
  • Research sources for viable candidates and establishes rapport with all sources (such as schools with applicable programs, competitors, area employers, professional associations, etc.).
  • Manages reporting of recruiting-based analytics; prepares report to track the efficiency and cost of recruiting processes.
  • Coordinates background checks and new-hire drug testing, including recordkeeping.
  • Maintains employee referral program, including tracking which employees referred which candidates.
  • Conducts compensation analysis, creating and maintaining job grading analysis of all positions within the company, per company specifications and requirements.

  • Manages internal transfer process, including screening, coordination of interviews with hiring manager, transfer offer letters, etc.
  • Source passive candidates to establish a pipeline of talent for future openings.
  • Communicates important employment information during delivery of employment offers (e.g., benefits, compensation, non-compete agreements).
  • Establish and maintain relationships with recruiting vendors.
  • Monitor and evaluate market trends and practices, make and implement recommendations.
  • Create and maintain job description inventory and manage full life-cycle recruiting.
  • Communicates important employment information during delivery of employment offers (e.g., benefits, compensation, non-compete agreements).
  • Follows up with the various aspects of new employment, such as notification of new hire’s start date to benefits for completing of health, employment and insurance forms, notifying payroll of employee's starting date and the requisition the employee is filling, etc.

Requirements

  • Minimum five years of progressive Human Resources experience.
  • Minimum three years of experience with full life cycle recruiting in a CPG environment, with experience recruiting Sales and Marketing roles.
  • Manufacturing recruitment experience a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
  • This person must be independent with a self-starter attitude.
  • Human Resources certification a plus.
  • Behavioral Interviewing certification a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality and address sensitive situations.
  • Demonstrated excellent interpersonal, communication, and decision making skills.
