The Human Resource Manager shall be dedicated to providing employees with services and programs that support and accomplish the company’s strategic goals and long range plans. The position is responsible for recruiting and personnel development. Other duties include supporting and administrating company policies, programs and practices and facilitating clear, accurate communication to stakeholders of the company. This includes: planning and organizing, developing, implementing, coordinating, communicating and directing activities that improve the job satisfaction and career opportunities.

Essential job functions, Human Resources:

  • Company Culture
    • Develop and deploy practices that pursue the company’s Vision, Values and Strategic Goals.
    • Administers personnel development programs to advance employee job satisfaction
    • Change management and company culture/morale
    • Employee communications, involvement and participation
    • Manage policy and program development, policy enforcement and codes of conduct
    • Monitor and enforce safe workplace policies and practices
  • Recruitment & Retention
    • Develops and administers an effective recruiting program
    • Conducts recruitment efforts for all exempt and non-exempt personnel
    • Administers new employee orientation
    • Monitors career-ladder programs
    • Creates and places advertisements
    • Administers recruitment testing
    • Coordinates pre-employment qualification testing
    • Attends and represents Tech at job and career fairs, as needed
    • Promotes internships within the facility
    • Provides facility tours, as needed
    • Facilitates employee relations counseling
    • Prepares, administers and maintains progressive discipline policies
    • Coordinates outplacement counseling
    • Performs exit interviews
    • Documents, coordinates and manages termination records
  • Compensation & Performance Management
    • Works with senior management to develop, implement, and update compensation and performance programs.
  • Policy and Procedures
    • Develops, researches, recommends and implements personnel policies and procedures
    • Prepares and maintains handbook on company policies and procedures
    • Performs annual re-evaluation of policies
    • Recommends new approaches, policies and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of operational departments and services provided.
    • Maintains policies and procedures according to employment laws.
    • Maintains other records, reports and logs to conform to EEO regulations.
  • Training Program
    • Maintain all records of training including ISO required documentation for TRC
    • Develop training plans in accordance with company goals and objectives
    • Coordinate with management staff and set up/ record all training for employees
    • Complete and review monthly apprentice reports with the Tooling Operations Manager admin and forward all necessary information related to hours and wages to accounting.
    • Attend External Partnership meetings as required
  • Affirmative Action Program
    • Develop and maintain affirmative action program
    • File EE0-1 annually
  • Safety Program
    • Reinforces safety programs through orientation, continuing education and ongoing communication
    • Participant on safety committee
  • Administration
    • Establishes and maintains department records and reports
    • Administer Employee Recognition Program
    • Maintains company organizational charts
    • Responsible for internal communications
    • Re-write job descriptions as necessary and provide corresponding information to accounting
    • Filing and maintenance of personnel records
    • Evaluates and reports on decisions and results of departments in relation to established goals
    • Provides public information, such as verifying employment
    • Completes required unemployment compensation documentations and coordinates with Payroll and assist with appeals, as well as attend hearings
    • Complete and review monthly apprentice reports with the Tooling Division Manager and forward all necessary information related to hours and wages to accounting.
    • Coordinate company functions
    • Perform internal audits for the QMS in conjunction with Lead Auditor procedures
 

Requirements

Training and Work experience preferred:

  • SHRM - CP Certification preferred
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment; automotive preferred.
  • 10-15 years similar experience.
