The Human Resources Manager (Business Partner)  is responsible for supporting our business objectives by delivering both tactical and strategic HR contributions, working closely with senior management in a high volume, fast-paced work environment. This position carries out responsibilities in some or all of the following functional areas: employee relations, performance management, employee engagement, change management, compensation, onboarding, policy implementation, and employment law compliance.

Responsibilities:

In partnership with other members of the HR team, provides general support for all HR-related activities and performs all duties in a highly professional, confidential, and client-focused manner.

1. Employee Relations & Policy Management. In coordination with external counsel, maintains the employee handbook and advises management and leadership teams on policy interpretation and other employee matters, including but not limited to performance management, employee relations and internal investigations, creating plans to support effective employee development and engagement. Ensure firm compliance with Human Resources policies, procedures, laws, standards and government regulations, communicating updates as appropriate. Analyzes human capital data, such as employee engagement survey data, exit interview data, and turnover data and makes recommendations to the management team for corrective action and continuous improvement. Promptly investigates employee relations issues. Understands and applies evolving Federal and State laws in conjunction with company policies and procedures to ensure compliance and mitigate risk to the organization

2. Talent Management & Compensation: Coaches, counsels and guides managers in ongoing performance management activities which includes the progressive discipline process. Manages an annual talent review process to evaluate talent pipeline, succession, and development opportunities. Supports the annual performance review program and semi-annual promotion process, assisting managers with preparation and delivery of feedback designed for individual and team development. Collaborates with management and HR team to ensure equitable compensation administration.

3. Other: Manages and contributes to various HR programs, projects and duties as needed. Recommends new approaches, policies and procedures to continually improve efficiency of the department and services performed.

Requirements

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources preferred or equivalent work experience.

2. A minimum of ten (10) years of experience performing professional roles with progressive human resources generalist experience. A strong preference with experience in Financial Services.

3. Minimum of two (2) years of experience in each of the following disciplines; employee relations, performance management, and policy administration.

4. Human Resources certification or advanced degree strongly preferred (PHR, SPHR).

5. Experience supporting talent planning and employee development preferred.

6. Experience using HR systems; Taleo, ADP, Oracle Fusion preferred.

7. Experience with sales incentive compensation practices is a plus.
