The Manager, Human Resources serves as a strategic partner that leads and drives the comprehensive people strategy to support business results for the Franklin Park facility.  Serves as a coach and advisor to all with an emphasis in employee and labor relations and leads continuous improvement initiatives and processes to enhance the Company’s culture.

This incumbent will implement HR solutions that enable the business to successfully achieve its objectives. With HR leadership alignment and business partnership, the incumbent will develop, implement and maintain human resources policies, procedures, compliance and monitor HR strategies, including performance management, change management and labor relations. The incumbent provides guidance and coaching on HR process.

  • Administers various employment policies and procedures for all personnel, including attendance, job postings, paid time off, etc,; assists in development, implementation, and training on policies and procedures; recommends new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of Company, HR Department and services performed.
  • Assists and supports managers and employees regarding personnel issues. Answers employee questions regarding personnel policies, procedures, and benefits; researches and disseminates timely information to managers and/or employees on personnel issues
  • Coordinates and participates in completion of exit interviews and terminations.
  • Provide guidance and support to interpret and enforce Collective Bargaining Agreement, including the grievance process.  Will provide guidance and support to field operation locations for all labor relations’ related matters.
  • Responsible for labor and employee relations, including coaching of management team and assurance that all issues are thoroughly investigated and resolved equitably
  • Maintains compliance with Federal and State regulations concerning employment; monitors employment related claims (unemployment, FMLA, EEOC, etc).  Communicates changes in employment laws that affect Company
  • Oversees records, prepares reports, conducts data analysis and composes correspondence relative to the Human Resources function; assists in evaluation of reports, decisions, and results of department in relation to established goals; participates in administrative staff meetings and attends other meetings and seminars, and participates in development of department goals and objectives.
  • Partners with functional HR groups (compensation, recruitment, training, etc.) to meet the specific needs of the business      
  • Coaching and develop HR Labor Relations staff to grow their professional skills


  • 3-5 years of labor relations experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field
  • Five years’ experience in Human Resources with core generalist experience
  • Three to Five years’ supervisory experience
  • Knowledge of IL employment and labor laws including but not limited to FLSA, FMLA, ADA, Age Discrimination in Employment Act, Title VII, EEOC

Preferred Requirements:

  • Professional in Human Resources designation (PHR, SPHR)
  • Ability to effectively communicate adherence to established policies in an matrixed departmental structure
  • Ability to relate to people of various ethnic, cultural and geographic persuasions
  • Experience with labor contract negotiations
  • Bilingual (English and Spanish) HR Manager
