Robb Ross Foods, Inc. and Fruit Fillings, Inc. are seeking an experienced, hands-on HR Manager to manage their human resource functions and to administer policies, procedures and programs. The ideal candidate would have a passion for enhancing HR processes and would be able to take ownership of the following vitally important functional areas: benefits administration, employee relations, training, performance management, onboarding, policy implementation, recruitment/employment, affirmative action and employment law compliance, compensation, employee engagement, and safety.

This position requires a high level of integrity and a proactive approach while demonstrating a deep understanding of HR practices and business operations.

This position also serves as an employee/company champion and change agent. This position needs to formulate partnerships across the Company to deliver value-added service to management and employees.

The HR Manager partners with the President and Vice President and works frequently with other senior management to facilitate company growth and impact business strategies. The HR Manager offers a constant assurance for staff and leadership that everything is under control. Organization, preparation, and a strategic mindset are equally as important to success in this position as active listening skills and a passion for learning.

Requirements

Skills / Qualifications / Responsibilities

·         Must have high school diploma or equivalent 

·         BS/BA degree in Human Resources or in a related field of study with a minimum of 4-6 years of progressive experience within HR

·         PHR / SPHR desired

·         2 – 3 years of recruiting experience with strong knowledge of hiring processes

·         Must be PC literate; proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

·         Deep understanding of HR compliance and current regulations; working knowledge of federal/state/local employment and labor laws

·         Manage employee leaves while ensuring compliance with federal and state laws including FMLA, ADA, ect).

·         High level of organization skill and attention to detail with strong ethics to maintain strict confidentiality.

·         Sound understanding of principles and best practices of personnel administration

·         Ability to operate autonomously in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with varied projects, deadlines and priorities

·         Highly motivated and works well both independently and in a team environment

·         Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with peers and employees

·         Excellent problem solving/judgment skills, and high level of attention to detail and accuracy

·         Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate all levels of staff and respond effectively to sensitive inquiries or complaints.

·         Ability to present information and make recommendations effectively in oral and written form

·         Reliable, responsible, positive and proactive attitude

·         Adaptable to change

·         Hands-on experience with benefits administration

·         Process payroll and ensure compliance with wage and hour laws

·         Personnel record-keeping and management of the Human Resources Information System records

·         Investigate employee complaints and prepare correspondence to legal counsel as necessary

·         Prepare responses to unemployment and labor board claims and represents either company in hearings and investigations

·         Perform employee training and management / supervisor training, assist with effective employee coaching and performance management

·         Work with other managers to ensuring compliance with OSHA and manages worker’s compensation claims

·         Administer health benefit program

·         Bilingual in Spanish a plus

 

Travel:

  • Occasional travel between worksites (less than 5 miles)

 

 

Additional Requirements:

  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Clean driving record and valid car insurance
  • Reliable transportation
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment physical, drug screening, and background investigation
  • Ability to access all areas of the building, including warehouse floor and production areas
