Due to growth and customer demand, we are currently recruiting for a Human Resources Manager to support our North American Sales team based in Hickory, NC.

 

JOB SUMMARY:

 Program/Project Management - Works with Functional HR Business Partner to oversee the implementation and communication of key HR programs.  Leads ad hoc projects as assigned within area of responsibility.  Coordinates and supports regional projects teams and efforts.

 HR Management - Manages Human Resources function of assigned area by providing innovative, practical, and strategic human resource solutions that support the overall mission and goals of the location.  This includes employee recruitment and staffing, HR policy administration, salary and benefit programs, communications programs, and employee relations activities. 

 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES:

 Program/Project Management:

  • Help develop and/or customize programs to meet the needs of business partners, working within the framework and governance of established HR programs.
  • Work with Total Rewards and Regional HR Teams to ensure the timely and accurate payment of Sales Incentives.
  • Provide support for ad hoc requests/projects to meet the needs of Functional HR.
  • Support Communications Strategy around key messaging for the Functional HR and help develop innovative solutions to deliver the strategy.
  • Track and report project metrics and deliverables through PMO tools. Report on these items to key internal and external project stakeholders.
  • With Functional HR Leader, build an active engagement plan that will enable the HR function to deliver upon its key strategic initiatives and better serve the business.
  • Remain focused at all time on opportunity for improvement on HR business processes.

 HR Management:

  • Work with Talent Acquisition on the selection, promotion and placement of employees.  
  • Ensure that HR initiatives are delivered within area of responsibility, using a set of standard processes, tools and methodologies.
  • Support, develop and implement programs, policies, procedures and controls regarding employment and HR matters.
  • Provide guidance and training to leaders and managers including policy interpretation and application and assistance with various employee relations issues.
  • Develop, direct and/or administer salary and benefit programs.
  • Maintain a favorable employee relations climate by counseling and advising employees, developing and administering various employee relations activities, and promoting communications between employees and management.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies including advising management on corrective action/termination decisions.
  • Ensure employee master data changes are accurately initiated with the HR Service Center.

 QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • A completed Bachelor’s Degree in business administration or related curriculum and 5+ years of related experience is required. 
  • Must have excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills.
  • Must understand standard project management concepts.
  • Must have experience managing multiple concurrent projects, working internationally, and with virtual teams.
  • Must have experience managing programs, processes, tools, and governance systems
  • In-depth familiarity with HR data ecosystem and reporting tools required
  • Proven ability to complete projects on time, on budget and within scope.  
  • Proven ability to work independently and keep project team members focused on project tasks and assist in project evaluations, recommendations and presentations. 
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, and comfortable facilitating and presenting to groups
  • Ability to understand and relate to customer needs and ability to work well with people in all levels of the organization and handle a fast paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong focus on execution excellence, attention to detail, analytical skills and ability to drive multiple streams of work forward
  • Must be able to work effectively under pressure, with multiple deliverables, in short time constraints.
  • Proactive in approach with proven problem-solving skills.
  • Strong business acumen
  • Strong knowledge of MS office suite.
