The J.M. Huber Ground Calcium Carbonate (GCC) business has an immediate need for a Human Resources Representative located at our Marble Hills, TX plant.  Principal duties and responsibilities as follows:

  1. Responsible for employee relations and assisting employees with HR related issues
  2. Responsible for the benefits administration for the Marble Falls, Texas location, including medical, dental, life insurance’s, 401k, STD/LTD, flexible spending accounts, education expense reimbursement, etc.   Prepares and distributes communication to inform employees of benefits programs and changes to programs
  3. Responsible to drive key Human Resources initiatives at the site including Diversity & Inclusion awareness
  4. Assists in conducting wage surveys within labor market to determine competitive wage rates
  5. Payroll and timekeeping duties as required
  6. Recruits, interviews and assists in selection of non-exempt positions
  7. Plans and conducts new employee orientation to foster positive attitude toward company goals and to ensure a smooth transition.  Perform training as required.
  8. Individually counsels retiring employees and prepares retirement packages to ensure a trouble-free retirement.
  9. Responsible for maintenance of employee personnel files and other personnel related records.
  10. Responsible for the on-going maintenance and integrity of the HRIS (GPS - Success Factors). 
  11. Maintains relationship with Division/Corporate on a variety of human resource related issues, i.e. reports, inquiries, policies and procedures.
  12. Coordinates internal events, i.e., employee service awards, attendance awards, etc.
  13. Assists with special projects as needed
 

Requirements

  1. Minimum of 3 years of Human Resources experience.
  2. Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent education and experience in business administration, human resources management, or similar discipline.
  3. Must have thorough and in depth knowledge of benefit administration, compensation systems and various personnel functions. Excellent administrative and organizational skills.
  4. Must be able to effectively and efficiently perform their responsibilities in a work environment with minimal supervision and continuous interruption.
  5. Must regularly exercise independent judgment and decision making.
  6. SPHR/PHR Preferred
